Lol not fully sure what plane C is yet. Keep trying to find someone that knows how to do the job. Or get my money back and leave the swirl marks in the glass. This whole thing is turning into a nightmare.

I traded my R32 yesterday. After problems began to arise ending in a tow, I decided to get a 2012 GTI Autobahn. I do miss the sound of the VR6, but the GTI has nice tech toys

Too bad...GTI is nice too but...

Today, I talked to some guy at the gas station about my R...He was looking at the car for a while and then said, "That a 32?" Said he used to be a dealer and has a MkI and MkII GTI at home.
If your gas cap light comes on even if you think you tightened the cap, try pulling on the cap as you tighten it. Worked for me.

Changed my HIDs. What's up with these H7s? Never see them on...can't get them to come on. It seems like my light switch does nothing... I'm clueless..I need to get a manual blasted previous owners.

They were affraid to cut it out in fear that it would cause more damage to the car. So I found another place that says they have a special light that they use and it softends the glue so you can pull the glass out. I hope they are right this time. I'm getting so pissed at this whole situation.

found out why my car is making an awful noise after i lowered it...not the suspension, turns out my outer CV joint is shot and thats wuts been causing the noise . Im pretty new to mechanicing stuff but have friends that say they will help and that the job isnt that bad...wondering your guys opinion on should I replace just the CV joint (around 50.00) or spend the little extra and go for whole axle (100.00) while im under there

real bitch is im not super low so im guessing boot was ripped b4 and didnt notice and with lowering it it changed the angle of the axle and "exposed" the problem

Actually iirc you don't really have a choice in what to replace. I don't believe the axles on these cars are serviceable, so you have to replace the whole thing

Still not too tough, but it is a bit costlier.

No. We had to "rebuild" my unit as my CV separated while we were doing my spring install. Taking the axle off, the DSG side is sealed, you just unbolt the axleshaft from the output shaft and bolt the new one up.

That's why I thought they were not serviceable; we had a hell of a time with it and it never fully sealed properly after... The CV that is, not the DSG or anything

      Yes:

      1. Buy a Spreader Tool or you'll lose your mind trying to get it apart.
      2. You will need XZN Drivers (Triple Square) to take the axle off the output shaft. I think it was 14 but can't swear to it...
      3. Good luck
