He could always wrap the tray in front of it with the same pattern to match. Another person probably wouldn't notice it doesn't match the rest of the small pieces in the interior.

I know what you're saying...but I would know and it would drive me crazy!

If it was the same small pattern, I'd be all over this!

    Booked in at dealer to:
    a. Sort out noise from front suspension (when going over say a speed bump)
    b. Front disks and pads (vibration when hitting anchors from speeds <140km/hr)
    c. Check rear suspension bushes.

They just called with a long list of parts thankfully still under warranty

Car looks great man! I'm still on the fence about whether I should go H&R springs/koni shocks or coilovers...

+1 however , it is vital that you remember the shock / strut is more important than the coil spring. The best budget coilover would be FK Silverline Xs or Konigsports thanks to using Koni shocks , otherwise any of the other offerings from Bilstein , H&R etc would be good.

I tossed on some ECS smooth silver beauty bezels for the climatronic knobs. I must say for $30 they sure spruced up the look of the interior. Navigation install planned for later today once the morning rush is through with.

I was on the fence too. I'm no suspension guru like some here but it is nice to have them in order to educate me For me I decided this was the best setup for my case. Not everyone will appreciate it but for now its definitely what I want and it rides great!

Installed my new E-model RNS-510, 2012 maps, bluetooth and MDI yesterday. Already had the SAT and GPS antenna in the car (since she has the A4 antenna instead of the stock one). So far GPS and everything works great, loving the new head unit!

Still gotta finish the MDI install, anyone know how to get the MDI unit itself out of the center armrest insert? I ran the MDI connector to the glovebox yesterday, figure I'll just put the MDI in there instead of worrying about getting all the parts for the center console.

Also, bluetooth isn't complete yet, but the module is underneath the passenger seat and the wires are already hooked up. Just need to finish running the module connector and the connecting wire up the A-Pillar to the overhead unit. Got a new 2010 overhead bluetooth unit to go with it as well

I haven't been paying attention, I guess. Last time I looked, I thought that one had a "starboard" muffler that would interfere with our battery box.

Not at all. This is the product they installed: http://www.goapr.com/products/apr_ex...kvi_golfr.html. They will be marketing this to MkV R32 owners shortly.

/Drool. How does it compare to Borla...especially at WOT and idle? Borla leaves me disappointed at idle/low load (too quiet) but sounds so right under throttle.

Collected from dealer. They replaced all 4 shocks and mounts, new front disks and pads and some other bits and bobs. Bill for warranty close the R16k about $2000

Get this, when replacing rear shocks and mounts, they found one shock to be impact damaged and shock mounts to be not as per vin # , I looked at the part numbers and seem to be those for a Mk5 Jetta. Mounts and rubbers are oval and not round.

Big fight for me with selling dealer, as I paid for those parts that they could not claim for (dealer has to send in old parts to validate claim from VWSA)

    Car feels sorted now

Same thing here. I was sold my "CPO" certified car was ready to go. However, I found a blown suspension when I went to change it over to my coilovers.
