Koni STR.T shocks and struts are the same part number for both, so maybe going to aftermarket strut changes a couple things. O well just thought I'd throw that out there if any golf owners had experience with gti springs...

anyway, I'll get my golf on here when I get my cupkit all together. I would love to see some more SS or race springs with staggerd wheels on springs.

No offense but these seem like DG springs with a cooler name. Maybe I just haven't read enough about them. Otherwise

No offense taken, I can't compare to the DG springs as I don't have a set. Several people have said that these look a little lower in the rear than the DG springs, but according to VWR, the spring rates are different than DG. It doesn't really matter as these are the springs I have and I am happy with them. I am also sure that I would probably be happy with DG springs as well.

Yeah as long as you're happy that's all that matters. Like I said I probably just haven't read enough about them.

Do you mean h&r Super Sports? If so, how do you like the ride with the KONI Orange STR.T shocks? I was leaning toward yellow shocks but have been hearing more and more about the STR.t that they ride very nice and still carry lifetime warranty.

I was wondering how they ride compared to stock shocks, when paired with the super sport springs.

    looks great, thanks!

thanks for info!....I have spoke to a couple others now with SUperSports and Koni Strt shock/combo and they both say they ride awesome. Apparently not quite as stiff as the koni yellows. I think for the typical driver they are perfect. I guess thats why they call them "street"

*I want to thank all the people who posted here. I used this thread to make my decision and went with:

H&R Sport Springs over stock shocks. 18" VW Omanyt wheels from my MKV R32. Same offset as stock.

Same Springs (H&R Sport) with stock wheels

    ummmm... Yes? i didn't know sportlines/str.t didn't mean cupkit

BrokenTT; i love the omanyts. im considering those for my golf as well

So after putting about 1,000 miles on my new suspension, needless to say, it was exactly what i wanted. The car is a bit stiffer than stock, and hardly bouncey, which im glad i purchased the Konis for becasue putting the GTI sportlines (different part number than the golf's) on the golf shocks probably would have been uncomfortable for my 80+ mile commute to work. I have about a 2 finger gap with the 15" wheels in, and when i get some bigger wheels, i think they will fill in prefectly. on with some more pics.

    Hi,

I'm just trying to figure out if I'm going to rub or not. I'm about to install an H&R Touring Cup Kit and I'm running 18x8 et40 wheels with 225/40 tires. Just trying to figure out if i'm gonna need a fender roll or not and if anyone else is running a similar setup.

Hmm.. Ok. So the screw mod is a definite and i guess rolling the fenders probably wouldn't be a bad idea either. Thanks for the insight!!!

All of these pictures of the H&R super sport springs are making my decision between coil overs and springs a hard one.

For those of you with the super sports: is there more gap in the front than in the rear?
