Check out seats from a MK1 TT. Very comfy, relatively easy to install, and height adjustable. I put a set in my wife's Cabby. Let me know if you want any more info. I have an old thread somewhere...

^^ those are nice. ill have to look into those. thanks!

so here it is mostly done. might do some small changes.

Right now i dont want to drive it because the clip that holds the hood hinge to the body fell off and is gone. I made it to dustoff by just latching the front. But i cant pivot up the hood to open it, because it would only be attached to one hinge and the hood would fall to one side.

so,..Im not going hoodless, but the only way to really opening the hood enough to really look in was to take it off. So the hoodless haters can stop before they start, lol. Does anyone know where to get one of those clips? i heard a regular "c clip" can do the job so i may try to find one at a hardware store and give it a shot. if not i guess i gotta make a WTB thread in the classifieds for a 2cent piece. lol

keith, if you want to take some pictures of what part you are missing, I can probably pop it of my bunny for you and when you find one down the road you can just give it back so you can get this to more shows.

i would love some small euro chrome bumpers, i just dont have the money for those, and the build budget thats on this car wont allow for it unless i get some good free cash sometime. lol theyre like 800 bucks or so i believe? we'll see. maybe some day. U just never liked the huge US style bumpers, so the front one came off. love it or hate it.. i chose to love it without them.

So i came across this mk1 on craigslist and had to have it. Been looking for one for quite some time but being from northern nh its hard to find a nice clean rot free slammed mk1. so of course i jumped on the vdub train and will be a proud owner of my first mk1 in a couple weeks! went and saw it today and it does not disappoint. can't wait to take it to cali and turn some heads.

And I was going to do something similar with mine in the trunk area (only I have a 4 door) also so it's cool to see it actually installed so I can see what it would look like. Definitely turned out really well. I want mine to look more rugged and aged though ha. Can you access your tire well still?

No, you cannot access it anymore.you could make a removable section if you wanted though.

If the guy saying he was going to buy it bought the car, how's it doing?
Or has anyone seen it around or heard anyone posting who owns it? I don't go on the forums and lost track of it. Wonder if its even around or changed

haha wow, overshopped them a bit. best of luck to whom ever seller that is. i believe its still the one who got it from me. he must have put it back up again.

The kid you sold the bunny to neglected it, I went to look at it in the summer time and wasn't nearly as nice as it had been before...not to mention he wanted more than you sold it to him for. He sold it to a guy in Southern MA i believe. (with a blown headgasket) So it's now being parted out
