Alright So this thing has been in the works for a while now. Between moving, moving for work, going away to be trained for work, and having no money at any given time inbetween progress has been slow.

I have gone through about three different engine managments since this all started and finally settled on one I like. I have 034 in both my projects, the audi and this one. 034 Ic and IIc are pretty easy to tune and use and have a lot of support unlike the megasquirt and other systems I used.

The final goal for this car is hopefully going to be syncro, and I have been trying to source some passat parts in canada since I live so close now. but first... buttoning up the other stuff.

Right now the car is at paint and has been since a month and a half ago. It was supposed to be in and done weeks ago but not so much. Should be pretty nice once it finally is finished though. Front and rear fenders are getting stretched, and its going to be Europa Blue.

I picked up some sweet BBS RF Design 5000's for it. Already ordered two inch lips and going to be getting some one inch for the front. I was looking around and was debating what to do for bolts, and came to the conclusion im going to experiment. I want to Copper electroplate pretty much everything. wheel bolts, intake manifold, valve cover, alternator. The engine bay is shaved and in truck beliner so it should contrast well and Go nice with the Europa blue.

Here is a previous thread of the work done to the body. Spent some time on a rotisserie being cleaned up and seam welded.

Some things came in for this, going to be moving forward once again after a busy time trying to get my avant ready for H20... Should have been this going but two and a half months worth of delays at paint didn't help. Looking like mid october at this point for that.

Some recent ideas have come up, which include copper coating EVERYTHING. Wheel bolts alternator intake manifold turbo valve cover etc. etc.

Tomorrow the photos should be flowing. nothing else to do on a cold rainy day but polish metal and sit on the interwebs

Ok so between being busy, dog bites, getting the audi ready for h20 etc etc this has been on he back burner. I started building the rf's and the shell is at paint. So things are moving along.

This is from paint... Front and rear fenders are getting stretched

Still one fender to go and the thirty pounds of filler on there is now just a skim coat. Color is going to be LZ5T Europa Blue Mica.

Im trying to decide what to do with the engine bay. Im pretty sure everything will be copper plated, hiding boost tubes hiding the rest of the wiring.

The rf's are going to most likely be 1" lips front 2" rear but that depends how much room I have after the fenders are done.

What exit are you? I think I might have to see your cars before winter...

More updates on this tomorrow. A lot more is going on than the thread is showing. Tomorrow I hopefully pulp the 034 IIc out of my avant to head in another direction. Polished some engine bay things for the rocco. Parting another urs4. Working on the daily. Winter is here...

ALMOST... I have alwys been a fan. There is one I see around from canada with a v8 that runs race gas. I want to check it out in the worst way.

Got some more photos today of the shell. In primer now... Getting really close! TO being able to get the shell back together anyway.

How is that litchfield show? I can't remember the name... Last time I was there it was a lot of boring old air cooled guys that hated water and wanted to pay 5 bucks for everything. Haha. Nice cars there though.

A few more updates should be in store tomorrow... Or should I say today. Have the headliner material and headliner measured out for the most part. Just need to Find someone good around that can sew it up.

Did a bit more polishing on the valve cover and turbo.... I think im going to order some less hands on ways to do it.

Im hoping to get a few more pictures from paint... preferably with it having the paint on it. Should be done and out of there by wednesday-thursday.

Here is the start of the new headliner. Measuring evverything out and trimming it up. I need to find someone with a sewing machine.

New Intake manifold done... It has some wrinkle paint now and needs to be polished a bit more but its almost there. Audi 5 Cyl aan/16v. It was kind of a pita to get to fit right. Looks good in there though.

Did some test fitting of the wheels... Looks like im going to need to either go 2.5 with the lip or get a spacer. It all depends on where the front tire sits. The front fenders got stretched as well, so ill have a decent amount of room. Just dont know what ill exactly be able to fit yet.

Heres a little bit of the fenders and an idea of what they will look like when they are done. Not sure if these will be painted today, but they might be...

Doors are now in primer ready to go and shold be done today. Hopefully ill be able to throw them on. Headliner is also at a friends house. She is in the process of making it rad. Dark Blue suede same color as the car.

And finally in the last few days I picked up some euro bumpers... Really clean and got them for a decent price. Finally after a few years of procrastinating and missed opportunities...

Ha luckily its not too bad where I am for canadian tv... I have a few friends u pthere and definitely enjoy going up and going to montreal. The only things that sneak through are radio broadcasts and cell tower reception. Costing me hundres in roaming. haha.

Thanks man, its been a long time in the works, and still will have a long way to go even after this winter. But its finally coming together how I want. I appreciate all the good things people are saying! Im building it for me, but its one more thing to keep you motivated!

Alright so crashed my jetta the other night on the northway...(not too far from julie) First accident since im 16. Leave it to me to be on the only level straight part of the northway and crash. Black Ice More on this when I have some pictures of the car...

On a brighter note most of my panels are finished for the scirocco. I'm hoping my headliner gets done so I can replace a good portion of my glass, door seals, and doors. Ill have to squeeze that inbetween a 2.0 swap though so I have a car again.

Absolutely. I had to run about a quarter of a mile in the freezing rain to get the attention of the people at the other accident. Damn north way. No service

Going to get the copper plating kit too... hopefully I don't melt my face off with the acids haha.

Picked up the fenders, doors, and wheels the other day and the hatch is going to be done this week. Ill get some pictures up. everything came out awesome.
