don't copy the full map on the other one....if anything JUST look over the cold start setup...but nothing more. setups can be close but timing, injectors, boost level etc etc etc can be a hair differnt and will not transfer over to act the same from car to car.

Hey all, hope all is well I know it's been awhile. Anyway I'm finally getting rid of the Jetta due to some issues (and I picked up a mark5 rabbit ) and wanted to extend my thread here because I know you've all been really helpful in the past..

Please post this where ever you can. I really want the Jetta gone in the next week or so. I would love to sell it as a whole rather than sell it to the junkyard for next to nothing

Have you thought about parting it out? If the interior is in good condition, you can make at least half of the amount you are looking for. I would buy your steering wheel, headlights and rear cupholder.

Yeah I don't have the room or patience to part it out. Someone can definitely buy it and do that though For the miles on the car, it's actually in really good shape. It's a shame to get rid of it but I just don't want it anymore..

I scored 3 jack stands this weekend for $3!!!
The day before I was debating dropping the other car so I could use that set on the GTI. Now the GTI is full off the ground and I have an extra one to hold the exhaust in place while I mock it up.

its my vortex anniversary. 10k posts (mostly chit), 10 years to the day. its been real. 10 years of living and breathing vw on the tex + another 10 before the internets. i've quit vw's a handful of times and always came back. a few times i was pissed at myself for letting something material like a car take up so much of my life, but then i think back to the people i've met through the scene and its all good...especially all the chitters. you all are a special group of people, and without even knowing it, have been there for me through some ups and downs. thanks for letting me get to know you, post mainly silly junk on here, and a few cool pictures here and there.

for now, salvaterra is out like trout.

    thanks everyone...

time for a catch up post///

Eurothon was cool, weather was only partially cooperating but I have the best pit crew in the business.. Glad I could come home with something for their trouble. 2nd place in an all vw class not bad.. especially since i went thu half the show without a number on my car for voting.

Cathy and I also survived Kayla's first day at pre k.. She cried a bit just to make us suffer I think lol.. but her teacher said after 30 minutes in she was fine. she also got a imm shot, and did not shed a tear.. real trooper I got there..

Pete congrats on you Anni. Just remember, time spent doing something you love is never wasted. I too am trying to balance things out, and have to remind myself, if im not enjoying it, im doing something wrong. Sometimes a break and time to reevaluate things in order.

Mya.. birthday? sorry if i missed it, but happy belated birthday i guess. Good seeing you and Nuno on Sunday, sorry i missed you guys on the first pass lol.

Ken, I see progress being done. I know its tough, but it will be worth it.. trust me.

now i got some work to do... 2 days off and its like a bomb went off over here..

    lastly... "the other guys"..

[RANT] I would like to petition the state of NJ to have drivers take a driving test every 4 years when they renew their license. Since when do you jump into the far left lane when you make a right turn? Or the far right lane when making a left? I had to jump onto a sidewalk to avoid getting hit by some douchebag in a BMW who made a left turn and went into my lane.

This country needs stricter licensing laws. You should have to put a sticker with your driving test score on your back windshield. That way, you can make sure you create enough of a buffer between you and the idiot that scored a 61%. [/RANT]

Oh, and it was great seeing you too Ivan! Congrats on the award.

Nuno, I'm with you......I see it every morning on my commute.....except when they get on the on-ramp & shoot across 3 lanes of 78 to the fast lane, there is a P.A. idiot driver waiting for them doing 35, on the phone, having a latte..........
