My idea of panic shopping was to get rolls to go with the frozen burgers, onions to go with the sausage - already had peppers, and eggs because I trust mine even if slightly cool, the store has to throw them out if they loose power and then u have to wait till they get a delivery.

The storm doesn't look like it's going to have an effect on my area. I think the main damage is going to happen to coastal areas due to flooding. People a couple of miles from the coast and the Passaic will most likely bare most of the damage.

Not really. We lost power for a few hours only. I'm not sure if we are serviced by Roseland Switching Station since it is the closest to us. That area of Roseland tends to flood though, so we may be served by another station.

Power estimated to be back on by nov 5th. So glad we have gas for the stove and water heater, and that we did all the laundry on the weekend. I can manage to air-dry my hair and microwave stuff at work for a few days

Power is out for a while here, tree took out the service line to the house. Estimated for the town to be restored in a week. We have a generator to run the fridge, and stove, heat, grill etc. is all gas. Another problem is low water pressure, but it seems to be hitting random areas. Work has power and hopefully water. I'll shower there if I have too.

    Woooooo..... Just got power back!!!

Everyone is safe here but we took some damage... Sandy took roofing off the house and garage... Took down the fence.... Also took down the huge tree we had in backyard and crushed my dads pickup truck.

    My place of employment... Destroyed

Be safe guys... There's a lot of danger still out there.
