changed out the cam follower:
considering i've got 90k on the clock i'm damn impressed....
I did have the timing belt changed 17k miles ago, maybe they changed it out? didn't say it on the service receipt tho.
guess i'm lucky

Last week I got an euroswitch since I did the LED’s and then Saturday I put the chrome inserts on the grill as I saw a thread that give that wonderful idea and then Tuesday I got a hold of these Detroit wheels

10.5 mm wheel spacers on the front took off the 7mm spacers because they caused a vibration.... looks sweet

replaced 2 out of the 3 exhaust hangers. Need to order the rear "Y-shaped" one...
before, the exhaust used to rattle on the suspension.
Now it rattles much less... replacing the final one will tighten up the exhaust even more2008 Passat wagon, 2.0T 6MT with mods

I washed mine...not sure why. The car is not on most favorite list. Oh well. It is cleaned and will look good when she goes to the shop once again for tranny shift issues.

Sounds like Valve Body issues...let me know if you need some help on finding places to rebuild the unit better than factory (not performance either, just an OEM rebuild with better quality solenoids). Originally Posted by avgwarhawk

Took car to dealer because it had "steering column lock fault" message. They replaced the immobilizer module under warranty. However, when driving home I noticed I couldn't see my LED's in the reflection of the car in front of me. They must have done some vag-com work as my led's are now not on as my drl's. They only come on when I turn on my headlights. Called the dealer and they are going to try to fix them later in the week. Now I just have to find the thread w/ the coding again.

Im doing my Hids tomorrow and installing my optima redtop after changing the battery terminal.
yesterday I installed Leds in the lower front directionals. The leds came off a beetle and they were the factory sidemarkers. I popped the clear covers off and dremeled out a small section to slide them into the directionals. wired them in as drls and they look good.
