new rims went on today.
Installed Split angle (Aspherical) glass mirrors. (left view, then right view). When driving with these mirrors you can see cars that are right beside you, I always disliked the visibility of the stock mirrors on the passat, there was a definite blind spot, that these completely remove. I like the blue tinting as well.
Installed picture of the Euro Light Switch. (it has all 7 functions. Off/Auto/Markers/Headlights On/Marker w/fog/headlights w/fog/also has the rear fog but I don't have it installed).
Unitronic Stage III w/ PT5558BB Turbo Unitronic.ca, IE HPFP, 3in B&B TBE, BSH throttle pipe/27mm RSB/Endlinks , Forge 007 DV , RalcoRC/Forge SS, 42Draft Design CNC Shifter bushings, BFI stage 2 motor/tranny mounts, 034 Dogbone, KW V2 coilovers, Nuespeed 25mm FSB, Whiteline Anti-lift kit/Front control arm bushings, 18x8.5 VMR VB3s, JBL stereo, CTS Turbo 2.0t FSI Big turbo kit!
Gradually dressing up my '07 value edition (or my passat which happens to have pre-deleted chrome trim)
So far Passt insignia-ed monster mats, rear sunshade, splash guards, votex passat insignia-ed door sill trims, votex chrome exhaust tips (yes, there is chrome underneath all that salt and turbo belch in the pic), and vw oem Euro front license mount and mock euro vanity DE license plate, mock alloy plastic hubcaps with ebay mock 'dub center caps to cover my 16" winter steelies
Today I "installed" my color matched, painted to order ebay (Thai?) spoiler ($1 item cost + $25shipping - that was a hoot). Ain't peel and stick wonderful.
Gives it a slight bit more "atty tood" as we say in Philly.
Also, this week I received my VW Driver Gear springs (a big shout out to Bud@CheckeredFlagVW.com who was able to provide what was probably the last set in North America available at ridiculously low closeout pricing.)
The install of those springs will be my first "non peel and stick install" besides my votex tips (which involved some bolts and loctite) which will be done by a nearby stealership when the first blooms of spring appear here, along with the return of the catalunya alloy wheels from their winter vacation.

So after a long time in trying to find a replacement for the chrome pieces on the shifter and the cover where it says P R N D S I have had no luck. The chrome was bubbling and peeling off and it looked horrible. So I decided to change that today. I took it all apart, stripped the chrome junk off and painted it all flat black to match the buttons inside. It looks amazingly better. I'll have to put some pictures up but getting rid of that chrome was the best thing I could have done. It used to blind me with the reflection of the sun at the right angle but now it just looks stealthy.
***EDIT*** Apparently I'm not cool enough to post attachments yet so if you want a picture to see how it turned out just pm me and I'll email you one.

all mods installed this week.
H&R cup kit, EBC brakes, new tires Yokohama C-Drive 235/45 17. also replace the smashed taillight and rear bumper painted. Wax and detailing. pics are medium quality. I don't have a ggod camera. Promise to post better ones.
Might have an issue with the Mud flaps though:
Looks great first of all. How's the ride now?
You know those mudflaps are gonna scrape a lot more especially if you cut the bump stops down like you normally should with the spring install. Mine rub on hard turns on off ramps when i accelerate out. I have the original springs and shocks too. I'm sure lowered you will get it to rub a little more often just on driveway exits and entrances too. Think you next mod will be the mudflap delete.
