@insomniac: Do you use it like seafoam, a little in the gas tank, a little in the oil, a little in the intake mani? Would you say that stiff is superior to seafoam? and do you just leave it in until you change the oil, or do you have to change oil at a certain point after you add this?

i just add a bottle in the gas tank and fill it up couple of days before im leaving for a long trip, just to give it some time to soak in and then burn it all off on the highway, i do it about twice a year.

i try not to mess with oil much, sea foam has its uses but i was never comfortable using it on my passat , on the other hand Chevron Techron is Well documented/tested on much higher performance motors than ours.

Even with the fuel not going through of the valves, do you think that this stuff works? Can you feel a diff?

Replaced the garbage 2006 cupholder with a newer 07+ version...what a pita! Not too complicated but definitely tests your flexibility

I can actually get TWO cups in it now. Thanks to a fellow vtex members for selling!

Just installed the 42DD boost tap and the AWE diverter valve. So easy and amazingly the car feels different. If it makes sense the car feels more snappy, like the boost delay from the ECU dv is gone. The boost is just there and solid, no flutter like the piston-style and less screaming like the OEM Rev G that was stock.

    Damn good upgrade.

Looks good! Especially like the license plate! Just curious as to why you left it on the car to paint?

was trying to think of what to do under the hood of my car for shows bc w/o the insulation (makes turbo and DV much louder and i LIKE tht ) so i decided to do a sticker BOMB

Plus it gave me a place to put possible inappropriate stickers in a place where there not all advertised publicly (and i mean something like "Run Vag" or F**K ur Stance visually not horrible but parked at the work place IMO not appropriate)

Im the lil guy on the right

    Stash?

    Love the zombie sticker

    Thought this one was hilarious:

    Also added the Ebay knobs:

    And my fog lights!!
    3000k HIDs for the fogs
6000k HIDs for the low beams

Now getting the engine bay read for Dubs on Defrost!

I think i read at one point, that taking the insulation out is bad? I could be incorrect with that. What other than the drastic noise increase does removing that insulation provide?

^ I really like the stickers under the hood, I am trying to keep my exterior sticker free and clean, but I would like to show some love for the great companies that manufacture parts for our cars.

No there are no negative side effects. Some passats dont even come with them out of the factory. Other then an increase in sound for the turbo spool and DV release no other real reason to do it.

Ahh, it was back when I owned my saab, some people had said that it will over time end up burning the paint from heat. is this really a fallacy? I'm intrigued now!

Installed my chrome head light switch trim ring. Thanks to slowhatch for the tip on this from german ebay. Since I plan on doing the chrome window switches & air vents thought it would be a nice touch.

Took my wagon in for the two most recent recalls, the PCV valve and the intake flap.

Got the intake work done.. the parts for the PCV replacement are on backorder.

Thought about popping it off but have never taped off before and am thinking of doing some other parts that would require taping so wanted to get a hang for the material. Plus that would have been way too professional and ruined the impulsive improvised nature of the mod.

Ps put about 600 hwy miles on it so far on a roadtrip and its holding up ok except for a small one inch section on the bottom that ripped and will need to be touched up.
