Not what I did, but what was done to my Passat today.

5 foot long semi tire tread kicked up by the pick-up in front of me on the freeway.

Took out the bumper, turn signal, R-Line fog grille, Votex lip & Hi-Def side skirt. Should be fun getting this covered by insurance!

Dude... I am so sorry to hear about this, worse to see it. I sincerely hope this is resolved quickly and CORRECTLY. None of the insurance BS of here's a bunch of stock parts, now go away.

Wow. Hate to see you go through that. At least with my insurer if you itemize the non-stock items when you take out the policy you can sometimes get supplementary coverage for those. But I think it depends on your carrier...

I got bored, but I found a fun use for all of those 3M Dinoc samples I have!!

Now just to pick a color, carbon fiber is nice a subtle but "Gloss Dark Red" or "Gloss Hot Rod Red" may match the body color....

ooooh I may have to make a thread about this!!

Found my wire strippers and wrench that I had unintentionally "stored" under my front hood on the engine bay ledge for the past week after my LED drl install.... doh!

Fortunately they hadn't fallen into the engine bay and wrecked the engine or off the car to wreck somebody elses during my 120 mi of commutes this week and were lying, exactly where I left them after my brain f-rt when I was cleaning up.

Wow...at least its something you can't control, I'd rather have that happen than have it be something I did...like hit a damn mailbox I hope you get it taken care of without too much fighting with your ins. company.

My friend left a pair of pliers in the engine bay in his M3 a few weeks ago, they got stuck in the throttle body, tripped whatever sensor monitors that and sent him into limp mode and led him to stall a couple times. $58.00 later, he now has an expensive pair of pliers...that is a mistake you only make once

I think I need to add the Euro turn signal clears to finish the effect at this point. Never done...
It may be neat if you actually set them back a bit and cut a gap in the grills you have them mounted on, give them more of a flush look. Here's a pic of my LEDs

I also have the euro turns Just my .02, they look pretty good as is though. Its cool seeing how people set up their LEDs, lots of different types and setups for different tastes.

Just went stage 2 with APR with a USP motorsports downpipe!

I think I was flashed with a stage 2+ file though... hmm... could that become an issue?

Oh well! Time for wider tires! I loose traction in 2nd 3rd and 4th... uh-oh!

Basically, no HOA so I can build a 2 story garage with a lift. May also need a graffitti artist to tag up 'Volksbahn' on the side once it's built.

Cleaned the car and found this.... drivers seat and I have no idea what it goes to but the passenger side appears to have it connected to something?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Is that the Back of the driver seat? Do you have electric seats? Seat warmers? Is everything working?

The passenger seat is not power so Im going to assume it may have to deal with the seat heaters. That is the only electrical thing that both seats have in common...

after 30 min or so of trying to get my 6'1" body contorted to see what this wire goes to I am still coming up empty, I assume it has something to do with the lumbar support or back heater....but I cant get to anything of use.

Any advice would be awesome, now that I have found it I will be thinking of it day and night until I fix it.

    Cheers!

Yours look great. I bought before I was aware of the wider style conformal strips, but would've definitely gone that way had I known, as the ones I have in are a bit more understated than I would've liked..

I was also looking to minimize any irreversible dremel-ing on the lower outer grilles and only had to drill a small wire feed hole in the top inner corners of the grill inserts, in case I change my mind and pull them.

Also, my ecs led kit wiring came without in line fusing, which should definitely be added for safety. The fuse assy is a couple of bucks at r-shack.

Thanks! These are actually lights from an Audi S6. I bought a harness that came with the inline fuse, which I like. And install was a bit scary at first, some dremel work was needed...on the actual bumper. No worries tho, if you take bits off little by little and check it every bit of the way, it'd be pretty hard to cut too much.

I do immediately. I just took off in 2nd gear at a slow roll and broke them free. I don't think I've ever had a larger smile lol

NO joke, I did the same and what used to be weekly cleaning has turned into once every three weeks or so. When the lady at Home Depot knows you by name you can be sure your Passat is suffering.

Thanks guys, yeah the car is going to be on hold for major work, but I got what I wanted done up to this point, less than a year and from bone stock to Uni Stage 1+, Intake, and the new drop...it's a beastly lil car.

Keeping it in line with the thread....today shoved SO much junk into the trunk, love how much these cars can hold.

...and if you smoke. I hate you. I'm washing 7+ years of tar off the walls, looks like coffee running down the walls as I wash...can only imagine what lungs really look like.

I know. I just had my water main break and had to repair part of my roof. That was my valve body rebuild and water/meth injection money. Been scrapping to get that back.
