congrats great choice, thought a little bit narrow for 3 seats in the rear, isn't it slightly narrower than a passat?, I know it would be a tight squeeze with 3. Had a 1.8 TSI as a rent a hack in the gold coast very impressive.

It's just got a slightly mobile rear end on it

Nice choice, the sensible option.
You need to think laterally with 3 on the back in restraints.
We did in the Golf V 1 in capsule, 1 in safe'n'sound compaq deluxe forward facing and one in the middle no restraint. Then went to 2 compaq deluxe forward facing.
I have a few spare compaq deluxe (until the MultiVan arrives) if you want to do some product testing.![]()

Black actually, and you are onto something with the nomenclature progression,
No.3 is a girl, and pending face to face interview on the 10th will most probably be Aurelia.....
Car seats are a jamb, just bought new narrower booster for Henry, Louis still in Recaro, and No.3 in maxi cosi, all fits. If we need more capacity will just take two cars...
Internal width vs. Passat negligible, boot capacity just a little less too, for the same price as a Passat 118TSI the RS was a no-brainer.
Will most probably pick up car on Monday, then watch as it is destroyed under detritus of kids food, empty coffee cups, and sundry crap....
For anyone who is interested Trivett's Blacktown also have a new Black RS Diesel wagon for $39k driveaway and you get a free years comprehensive insurance.

So it's my turn to ask the question on 7 seaters. No it's not for me, but a close relative (can't reveal who yet as it is too early in the term) is expecting another child and she now needs a 7 seater. My list so far is this. What have I missed?
BMW X5
Merc GL
Merc R class
Tarago
Odyssey
Multivan
Land Rover Disco 4
In the UK, you can get E-class estate with 7 seats. Can we get it here? This person currently drives a big Euro diesel 4WD and she wants to keep it diesel if possible.
#218
Not that I'd go there myself but you can get the Chrysler Grand Voyager in a CRD.

Nice one, i am very happy with the RS so far. Sounds like you got a good price too.
You get free nav?
#224
Yes MY has nav standard. Also came with MDI connection and front parking sensors...
Can anyone offer advice on tinting? Never bothered previously, but if it reduces heat in car and has other benefits then any advice on what to use, who to go to would be appreciated.
Trivett's have Cancer Council recommended tint, including donation for $695.00 ???

Rob @ Hunters Hill tinting is always recommended. 0418 464185.
I have a MY11 as well. I have all options on a TDI wagon so paid a premium. Still great bang for buck. Just clicked over 2500k's today.
As mine lives in Bellevue Hill and travels down oxford st often i am sure to come across you at some stage. Not many of them out there.![]()

Blue? Tinted windows? Wagon?
Saw one on New South Rd, near Edgecliffe this morning...
#228
I was on new south yesterday, wrong car though. I have a white wagon, privacy glass so just tint from rear windows back.

Hey WAY, I saw a RHD Cadillac Escalade today...didn't know they were sold here...seemed to have an abundance of seats, although I doubt it's diesel. Still, something..er...different (provided said friend isn't a blingy diva!)

should have waited dude.

If you love them so much Chuckles, in today's paper, they were advertising new Defender 90's at $39,990 drive away....
Quattro drivers do it on all fours....
#234

As of May 2012 it's still outside. A little worse for the wear I think.
Actually he modded the inside extensively adding stainless steel water containers and other things to hold the rocks and stuff he liked to pick up. It was cool, but not minimal.

How is Marfa these days?
Have always loved this shot looking out onto the big concrete installation.
