This is probably a better place to post. Although, your paint job doesn't look to shabby. This thread wasn't really made for stock.

Wrong. Most of the people on here are not "rich". in fact most of us are strugglin' right now. Like me, I'm sure a lot of people make do with what they have, and work hard and go out and slowly, but surely build their cars. It's not like we go out and a day and do it. Most take months, weeks, and some cases over a year..
Anyway, csb, bbs rs, and as always, lower it.

you don't have to be rich to get a car like that. it's called built not bought for a reason. my car doesn't quite stand up to the rest of these cars it doesn't look terrible. i have a little over $5k into the car including the car itself not including maintenance.

i guess your right on that one. but you know what i mean you go to a vw show and you see bbs bbs....bbs. maybe thats more on mark5s and i realize everyone works hard on there cars im not down talkin neones car but hey yours started out just as bad as half the other mark3s out there so starting a thread because your sick of seeing work in progresses is kinda rediculous.

    my car for example...

thats my golf 5 months ago when i bought it.

and this is my car now...i love my car because its wat ive made it to be and im sure every other vw owner loves theres to whether its show material or not.

so wat about that makes neone a noob? thats wat i dont get because they havent started their build or because theyre halfway thru?

you have no point; you're just rambling/bitching about your car.

we're all in the same boat. for example, my car: i've had it since 2003, and it took seven (going on eight) years for me to purchase the parts i wanted, install them, and keep it in running condition since it's my daily driver - all while attending college and working. some people put more into this hobby than others, and that's fine. just accept it and move on.

    welcome to the layer cake

don't really hafta be rich to own a mk3... in fact i think thats why they have appeal. if you work a steady job it isn't too hard to save a couple hundred bucks up for some goodies...
