Didn't have a chance to check last weekend- my inlaws were in town and my daughter had a dance recital. I should be able to find them tomorrow. I found the trans parts I needed, but I'm still looking for the CIS throttle body linkage.

Found the idle stabilizer and hoses. I also have some front and 1 back seat for a 4 door but they are pretty hammered.

I went and got the wife a new (to us) car. It's a 2001 Passat 1.8t. It's a 5 speed, black with black leather. I really like it. We got it from my aunt in California. She picked it up from a mechanic who had a lein on it so she got it for pennies. For the last six months or so she's had it and has had my cousins (mechanics by trade) cleaning it up. She bought a brand new car and didn't want it any more so I swooped in and got it for a steal. She's got a stack of receipts for all the stuff she's had done too.

The timing belt was changed 1k miles ago, she's got a new clutch, brakes, coil packs, both cv axles, and more that I can't remember right now. It rides like a dream and has more pick up than I expected.

The only things wrong are pittly little cosmetic things: the glovebox and the arm rest top are broke, the side view adjustment knob is snapped off, and the sunroof cover thing is off it's slides. I've already found an armrest so these will get dealt with.

I'd say the biggest issue is that Erin doesn't want me to do anything aftermarket to it All I want is to put it on h&r springs and bilstein struts with some nicer wheels and then an intake/exhaust/software combo (you know, for the gas milage)

So if you see it driving around don't hesitate to and thanks for letting me brag.

hahah I'm in the same exact boat, well.. minus the excelnt deal on a super sweet car! All I want is to ATLEAST stance the car.. thats all.. no engine mods or anything.. but Noooooo she says.. you already have your cars to play with...

the sad part is she is right, but im a guy and want to "fix" everything haha

while your getting new cars, unfortunetly im getting rid of one.

i am parting out the corrado, so if there is something anybody wants then hit me up im selling cheap. there isnt any intioror except the front door cards and the dash and some trim peices. the hatch is good and wing still works great. all of the glass except the windsheild is still good and all the power windows and door locks work. i also have a complete set of bilstein struts with h&r springs that im getting rid of that will fit mk2 and mk3 cars.

the corrado will go to the crusher once i have pulled what i want out of it so let me know quick because i am not going to store any of this

    congrats on the new car

ouch that seems way high. I dont have much experience with re-boring wheels but i've had plenty of machine work done both custom and common. shop around a bit and see what pops up. there is a NAPA shop in caldwell that works on all the ISP vehicles. they are pretty cheap

Are you talking about opening the hole in the center to fit over your hubs? The wheels I put on my car were sized for a Honda and were a bit too small, but a hone on the drill did the trick.

Next Friday Bus pilots are having a GTG, not 100% sure on info but will post it asap

Also Next Saturday there is a open car show in horseshoe Bend. I am really hoping we can all make this work cause it would be nice to drive up there together and all show as a group

Are you sure? Family Reunion is at the end of the month. Would be strange for them to have something that close.

Do any of you junkyard frequent flyers know if there's a B5 Passat in any of our local yards? I need a couple interior pieces.

    Thanks in advance

Anyone planning to go the bus pilots at the end of the month? I saw Aaron today and we talked about possibly showing up there for the show, last year they had a few water cooled dubs and Aaron said they were pretty cool with it.

I'm headed to my parts stash today if anyone is in the market for anything. Complete ABA top end, injectors, ps pump, ac compressor, etc, complete (running when pulled) 1.7 from an 82- non ac non ps if anyone wants to do an ac delete. NIB set of 020 axle flange seal kits, ABA distributor. Complete white top assembly from an 89 cabby- has a tiny tear in the outside and a poorly repaired headliner, also needs 1 latch replaced...

Other than that I will be degreasing the engine bay and starting on brakes for the 82. If that goes quicker than expected I will be mating the newly repaired transmission to the aba and bolting it in.

I'm taking a break from installing the lightened flywheel and clutch- I'll try to leave some time to get the alternator and pulleys off of the 1.7 before I leave.
