    Hello Boise thread.

I've been viewing forums about the VW community for long enough, I'm going start talking back. I'd like to meet some of you in the Treasure Valley and I'll register to come to the Import Revolution this weekend. Hopefully I can show up with some other VWs.

This is my MKIII in progress

If there is a group meeting to roll into the show, I'd like to join.

Just saw you drive down Main vincent-vincent. Good looking car for sure! Also, we've got a facebook group setup. I posted several pages back but can get the link for you when i get home if you're interested. Or if someone else wants to beat me to it, that's cool too.

Thank you all. I've been wanting to meet other enthusiasts and didn't know how to go about it, while it was staring in my face. For some reason, I thought all of these threads were old and everyone had completely moved to things like Facebook, of which I don't regularly participate in. check out the link in the last few pages and join.

You saw me downtown because I live west downtown. I guess the Import Revolution is going to be just several blocks from my house.

I'm going to be doing a good interior cleaning Friday night then exterior wash Saturday morning before the show. I always wash at the self-wash on Hill and Bogus Basin, if anyone wants to meet for an exterior prep beforehand. I'd also like to know if/when others are showing up as I don't know Anyone in this scene.

Hope to meet some of you Friday.

Your car looks familiar, pretty sure I've seen it a few times on the road.

First of all. Here is the link to the Facebook group. vwidaho

I am probably doing all of my prep tomorrow (I degreased and wiped down the engine bay this afternoon). Need to vacuum, wipe down all of the interior/glass, and give it the final wash. I'm meeting Mike and one other guy Matt the morning of the show and we are all rolling in together from there. Meeting at the Starbucks on Fairview. A bit out of your way but just throwing it out there.

    Who's good with Vag-com?

A check engine light came on in my wife's B5 passat 1.8t (weird, right) with an emissions workshop warning on the display. So I get my buddy to scan it expecting something emissions related but the scan came up with nothing like that. I did get some pretty interesting fault codes and wanted to get some other peoples oppinions on whether I should do anything about them and if some some places to start. We reset the check engine light and so far it hasn't come back so we'll see if it was a hiccup or something bigger.

The car itself never had any hesitation in power or limit in revs or any noticable change in driving characteristics.

Here's a copy of the scan results:

I'm no vag-com expert, but post it up in the 1.8t forum. The guys in there are really friendly and helpful. My 'home' forum if you will.

edit:I posted in the 1.8t forum and the vag-com forum (I didn't know that on existed) so hopefully I get some quality input.

Anybody down to come over today and help me roll the fenders in the gti? I've got a proper rolling tool, a heat gun, beer, and left over papa murphy's in the fridge.

Any help would be awesome, if only to keep me motivated so I get this done.

Why thank you. They have definitely been a project. Only have an hour here or there to work on them so it has been taking forever! Just want them finished and on the car at this point
