Last weekend in September. Go look at a calendar if you want the dates.

And no... Jay Shoup will not come on to Vortex to release the dates... not until July or August, like he has done every other single season.

I do agree with you on one point. I am a friend of Jay's and I get sick the fact that every year this goes on. All of the complaining about the dates and why doesn't Jay do this or do that. Give the man a break he has brought you the best show in the states in the best location for many years now. The show always goes on around the same dates and those dates almost always get released around the same time.

As the show has grown over the years more planning has to go into it. It is easy to sit behind a keyboard and demand things it is another to actually put on a large event like this and still maintain a normal life. He is faced with resistance by Ocean City residents and has to deal with other obstacles in order to secure the dates for the venue. This is not easy work and he has very little help.

The dates will come out and the next stupid thread will be the weather report for said dates of H20i weeks before the show even starts. It's the same stuff every year. I have been going to VW/Audi shows for 13 years now and everyone wants to crap on the promoters of these great events. How about some of you stand up to help if you see some things that could be improved send a email volunteer your time instead of bitching and complaining. It is hard work and takes up all of your time you don't get to cruise the strip or enjoy the cars or even go out and party with your friends. More thanks needs to be given to the promoters and workers/volunteers.

On a side note that post with all of the DUB wheels and crap was uncalled for.

relax buddy, all i was sayin is that i hope they would somehow be finalized soon. i wasnt asking any questions, nor was askin ur friend jay to release the dates now. yes i kno they are released lil later on but, im just hoping something would change and would be finalized earlier due me getting a new job and would need more time to give a head up. ..

It IS the same stuff every year, if you can't even post the winners list what's the point? Not everyone can stay super late by the time award are handed out..which is like 5-6ish.

It's the only legit show I know of that never posts winners.

The dates used to be announced in Feb or March every year until the year the casino started being built. No casino being built this year, whats the excuse this year? What happened with Dubs at the Beach, he can not even come out and say "hey sorry its not going to happen" WTF? The dude makes a crap ton of money off of this thing, but shows no respect for his attendee's. SOWO and Waterfest can announce the dates nine to ten months in advance but he can not even give a update on whats going on three months out? Many, many people have to plan vacations as soon as possible. I get it, its a huge show, it takes huge amount of planning but I was under the impression this was his main job, this and the Dubshirts thing, maybe not. Maybe one of his 18 friends here can set me straight? If he doesnt have the time maybe he should sell the rights to someone that has the time. I think all anybody wants is some updates. I know its not about the show its about the whole weekend, trust me I get it. No show, hardly anybodys going to come to town, period. DATB was proof of that.
