Booked at the Seabay again for this year. It was nice last year in the back building but this year I moved up to the front building for a better view of the strip. Nice thing about Seabay was the security seemed to let most things go as long as people weren't being too loud and it was also nice to see them walking through the parking lot after hours to keep an eye on the cars.

My first year going was in 09' and I had such a great time.
Didn't make it last year due to my car having some serious problems...
I cant wait for this year tho![]()

Word on the street is that casino could screw us up. I was told casino customers had the parking lots full and were parked on the grass over the weekend.
Get over it.

This could be a huge problem, but the casino is still new, maybe it'll die down. Also, if the racetrack is a no go, can anyone even think of anywhere else big enough for the show? The inlet would most likely be a no go because of Sunfest or whatever that crap is called.

I'm sure everything will be fine.
Do you really think the people of Ocean City will want to be indoors on a weekend with weather in the upper mid 90's? Come on. There is plenty of room in that field for all of us during the day time. Casino's are mainly busy at night.

True, but looking at other local racetracks/casinos with other events taking place at the same location (most notably Harrington Raceway and Slots) the casino makes things more difficult. At Harrington, they also have the Delaware State Fair, and while the casino doesn't interfere TOO MUCH, it still does, and that property is much larger/better laid out for multiple events.
Couple this with what seemed to be a much greater sense of derision toward the event from OC officials, and the event seems to be in jeopardy much more so than in past years. And perhaps most bothersome is the fact that Jay just doesn't seem to care as much as he used to.
This show needs that location, but it also needs a greater amount of attention from organizers, not just during the event, but also website updates, new or different things taking place during the show, and more support from locals. That's my take on things anyway![]()
