I was thinking about getting that one, but wanted a little more power. Ended up getting this 24 Volt model:



It's supposed to arrive today, hope it doesn't suck.

It does suck. Has plenty of power for an electric, but the "auto-feed" is nonexistent. And to boot, there is no capability to bump-feed the string. I'm returning it and buying a 2-stroke gas trimmer.

I didn't figure the auto feed would be the issue. My dad had a Black and Decker rechargeable a few years back with, IIRC 18V batteries. He was crazy about it until both batteries were dead before he was done with the lawn. He went back to a corded model after that.

As for a two stroke, you can go wrong with a Stihl

The battery pack is tremendous in this thing, too - that's the real shame. I went through my yard 2.5 times before I just got too fed up with the string feed not working. I was still on the inital charge and there was no sign of it slowing up.

Oh well.
