A Rabbit is not to be wasted on the tentative or weak. Only the worthy are invited, and then only at your own risk. If you have even a modicum of hesitation, DO NOT buy one of these cars. Instead, leave it for a worthy soul who has already matriculated to the sublime ecstasy of what those in the know refer to as a "MK1"

head went off to the machine shop. 500k is a little scary...... it smokes and is leaking oil from the head gasket, a few of the valves dont close all the way and the lifters are done.

P.S. Do VW CV joints normally go out with a bang? I am used to them going out to where they just click when you turn, not my car! I was picking up chunks of the CV joint out of the dirt.![]()

Sacramento, California
Was thinking of starting 1 from the here:
80W at West Capitol Ave./Park & Ride
West Sacramento
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...,0.005681&z=18
* Encouraging Everyone to bring a handheld radio, I will have one & will be using channel 11.
**Meeting up 0900, Leaving 0930 with approx. 2 hour drive, using these directions to avoid weekend traffic as much as possible:
1) Leave West Capitol Ave. onto 80W/Fairfield-Cordelia Pass
2) 680S onto Dublin, get it?
3) 580W onto San Lorenzo
4) 880S onto Hayward (3mi. from 92W)
5) 92W onto Half Moon Bay (becomes a 2 way at "San Mateo Road" after freeway exit)
6) Right onto Cabrillo Highway North(1)
7) Left onto Capistrano Road, right into parking lot(Crab Landing)

Hey Guys, I designed a shirt for last years Old Skool GTG but didnt have funding to get them made, this year is different so I hired a graphic artist freind, Ben Henderson, to do this graphic based on a photo I took when driving to last years meet. Im getting a 1 or 2 color of the graphic printed on the back with a small front pocket print on heather grey shirts (and a few similar shades of color t-shirts), printing will be done at MR. TEES screenprinting in San Jose(Rybones!), I might do a few sweatshirts as well
Ill be selling them at the GTG for 10 bucks a shirt, if anyone wants a to pre-order a shirt to ensure they get one in the correct size then paypal me $10 at asbjones@hotmail.com and dont forget your shirt size and quantity! if you really want a hooded sweatshirt message me and I'll work something out(probably around $25 each), if anyone cant make it to the GTG buts wants a shirt you can paypal me $13.50 and I will ship you a shirt (within the USA) and dont forget your shirt size and quantity! (I can ship international too so message me if interested)
cheers! -Jones
