Volkswagen of America likes to give back to the communities it becomes a part of, and it seems the company likes to protect those communities as well. A prime example of this fact is the pair of police cars VWoA donated to Herndon once it shifted the corporate headquarters there. Well it seems thanks was due to Chattanooga as well, with the city playing host to Volkswagen's new assembly plant.

And, in now-typical form, Volkswagen has obliged by donating a pair Jetta SportWagen TDI cars, dressed to the hilt in police regalia, to the Chattanooga Police Department. Making sure no one feels left out, a second pair was given to the local Hamilton County Sheriff.

I see a trend in VW donating police service vehicles.

Ironic that some of them are wagons. I wonder what message they are trying to send?

I'd very much like to see pictures of the interior. The Jetta SportWagen is smaller inside in comparison to a Crown Vic. I wonder how they managed to fit a partition in there?

Cool! Good for them. I'll be curious to see how the cops like them. They're used to big V8's.

It's funny because the big V8's they are used to put out about the same amount of torque.
