Now that we got all the hate out, here's my build thread.

I never owned a vw before, started with this...

$1000. G60 Automatic, 126k. Everything worked except ignition. Had some sweet fiberglass Z3 looking fenders. The red dot interior cleaned up very nicely. Cleaned up the rado steelies.

Broke the belt between the cogs on the charger which grenaded . bought a parts rado. Replaced the charger. Put some G60 fenders on it and detroyed the others. Bought Rokkor coilovers and some 165/45/15 tires.

My buddy convinced me to bomb can it flat green. which i love the color and im going to actually spray it that color this winter when i do the body work.

cleaned up the bay a little bit.

Put some 15x7 phone dials on it.

I put the wider offset wheels on the rear which i am inlove with, im not sure why the drivers side pokes more than the passenger. anyone know? anyone think i should put the wider offsets up front also or run the staggered offsets and just space my fronts out so they're flush.

Anyway this is how the car sits as of right now, i have big plans for this winter. This site and the people in it have helped me out a great deal. thanks

Your camber looks messed up in the back. Otherwise looks decent but I am not a fan of them that low.

thanks guys, and yea the passenger has more negative camber than the drivers side, im not sure why? i made 3" drop plates for the rear with no camber made into them, and thats what i got out of it. even before the drop plates the passenger side still had a little more camber.

I can't believe it, but I do like the color...
I do not understand why some coupes make the grade and others do not. Everyone knows, for instance, that the Corrado was as tasty as an East End prize fighter with the looks of a Benetti super-yacht. The four-cylinder was good, but the VR6 was about as close as you could get to Ferraridom without buying a Ferrari. And what happened? You all went to the pub instead. -Jeremy Clarkson-

Trailing arm, or stub axle are probably bent (they're old its not surprising) look in that area. Could also be rear trailing arm bushings...

The one side poking more than the other.... could be related to the above if its severe but there's usually a slight difference between the drivers and passengers side (1-2mm) that gets seen when you're getting the lip close to the fender.

thanks man, i heard it might be the bushings... I'll check this winter when the car is put away for any bends or twists. my buddies cabby has the exact same thing.

This or the machining of the drop plates. But my money is on the bushings or stub

Also where is the actual build? I just see suspension and wheels

Me too It looks so much better on decent wheels Needs to go up a little at the rear though I think.

The rear camber is probably the stub axle as others have said.

Nice man! I knew everyone would start actually liking the car when you put some different wheels on it. Funny how that works huh? I like the black mirrors, wing and I even like the black gas cover. I almost did the gas cover black too myself but decided against it. It would probably not look as good on a white car.

haha yea notched frame, i did flip the tie rods but it gave me really crazy shifter cart steering lol so i flipped them back over.

i will definitely post a pic of the underside, i'll be the first to tell you its not pretty, at all . The roads here actually suck, frost heaves during the winter mess them all up. i just ride my wheels on the crowns of the roads and pray for the best. haha you get use to driving here and you remember where every little bump or crack in the road is.

I'm not looking to go fast so it works perfect at keeping me going the speed limit, if not slower

    I actually like this!

My .02 would be to raise the rear slightly, paint the lip under the headlights+ the mirrors+ the gas flap but keep the spoiler black. Well done though

I thought it over a hundred times. everyone told me to do the 5 speed swap, so naturally im just gonna keep it auto haha. I just want something different. you dont see autos, the car only has 129k on it now and the tranny is solid. if it ever decides to take a **** then ill 5 speed swap it.

but for now i wanna be different and like i said before im not looking for speed or power so im holding it down with the auto. it's luxury. lol

Hehe no point putting a 5-speed in if you can only cruise under the speed limit I bet you get great mileage too lol!

Also, its funny how I absolutely detest all phone-dial type porsche wheels on anything, yet on your car they look great. Whats up with that?

+1 to paint the slam panel body-colour.

Put real tires on and raise the car to a drivable height It looks retarded in this pic.
Other than that the color choice is decent.
