Thread: FS Grey premium leather seat covers

  1. 10-19-2010 02:59 PM #1
These are covers + padding only. All A3 seats are same so you can swap out old covers for new ones.

THE SEAT BOTTOMS ARE SPORT ones. I decided to keep my standard ones as they do not have tears.
    $300 shipped
    $200 shipped OBO

    Edit:
There is a rip in the driver seat. as shown in pic.
The backrests also have tears from machanikiA3 ripping them off with extreme force.

The seats will be cleaned with leathermaster leather cleaner and conditioned with leathermaster before they are shipped out.

The set includes what you see in the pictures.
    2 backrests
    2 SPORT seats bottoms
    2 back covers
    2 headrests.

If you want more pics then let me know. I can get some high quality **** for you.

yes you can take the seat apart.

It is original seat cover from when i bought car.

Yes you can replace your bolsters yourself. The seat bottom is a bit more work since you gotta take the seat off the car and take all the plastic pieces off.

Maybe you guys can clear something up for me. So, you can take apart the seat/seat covers and switch them from another A3 seat? I bought a set of leather seats to replace my stock cloth. Now I have an airbag light and its annoying the heck out of me. Can I take the leather off and put it on the cloth seats? Seriously???

    yes.

I done it to mkims car. He had same problem
We just swapped all the leather covers over to his old seat frame and dumped the new frame.

Is there a DIY written up on this?

    1. take the head rest off
    2. pry off the back cover( you can pull as hard as you can from top. It is clipped in. Another way we did it was on pass side we pushed the cover to the right and it came off the clips. Both way works if you break it no problem)
    3. You should see inside of the seat from back.
    4. headrest collars on the seat. these are pain in the ass. You need 4 small flatheads and a hammer. The collar is clipped in on all 4 sides so you need to jam the flatheads in and use a hammer to hammer it out or pry from top with fingers caus you cant leverage on the foam. If you break the collars I wouldnt care I dont need them. This took us about 20 or so min to figure out. but after the 1st one 2nd one took about 1 minute.
    5. There are clips with elastic bands just unhook all of them. If you cant get the cover off then there are probably some more clips under the seat.
    6. Before you take the cover off you need to unscrew the airbag on the side. I think it uses 10 or 14 or one of those sockets. After u unscrew it off you can take the cover off because there is a piece of cloth attached to it.
7 then the top should come off.

    bottom
    1. you need to take off the seat adjustment lever(up and down)Just pull the plastic piece off
    2. Unsrew all the plastic pieces with torx driver.
    3. The back rest adjustment knob shuold come off. I think you can pry it off, Dont care if you break it.
    4. Take out all the plastic pieces. Again if you break the side plastic pieces i dont care.
    5. Unscrew the storage bins. Some outside and some inside the storage bin.
    6. unhook all the clips on the elastic band.
    7. Now to take the seat bottom off you need to apply some pressure on the side of the seat. The seat is clipped in on the bottom. You can use a flathead to unhook it. You can also use your fingers but be careful because there are sharp studs that stick out to hold the seat clip in.
After you take the seat off there should be a sensor element attached just keep that with the coushin.

    I think that's about it.

    ere is a pic

Naw, it's cool. Thanks though. I'm probably going to go with something a bit more exotic eventually, I was just thinking about finding an interim replacement for my cloth seats in the mean time. GL with the sale!

thanks for posting the pic, tp.

wow, they dont look too different, do they. one last q. do they measure the same width on the bottom panels,( between the seams running front to back)?

Im trying to mod my sport bottom cushion, because it is torture device. My a** sits right on top of those stupid plastic reinforcements under the long seams, and where they meet the the rearmost widthwise seam. Im thinking of just cutting them out, but then the seams wont tuck down in between the foam neatly. F'in audi and their cheap seats.
