I've loved this car through it's various stages. It is perfect OEM+. Because of your car I'm on the hunt for a t red gti. I'd have to say my three favorite stages were the gunmetal d90's, hocks and your current clubsports Can't wait to see what you have going on in the future and maybe I'll make it down to tft at FDR if I get a chance. Awesome work!

great car man, def gives nub scrubs like myself a good role model to follow. plus I like the fact that you are willing to show that you didn't get it right everytime and that even a car like yours had some Rice on it.

    Jake, whattup!
it was good seeing u for a few mins at h2o this year
the car you had looked dope as well

to everyone, thanks for all the love
the car was a learning curve from the get
to the noobs, don't be afraid to make mistakes and try new things
just don't deliberately be daring and end up with 3x the work to get back to "decent"
have fun, enjoy your car, but be tasteful. no need to follow the herd or blend in, just be smart ab it

and with that i present ya with BOOM

    hahaha
not finished, and it is rubbing really bad
but it looks sooo damnn good
oh and don't mind my bro in the back, he was stunned for a while

looks dope... and the reality is at first in the sneaks i thought it was a momo fitapalidi, then remembered it was the Monte Carlos

So we must like the same wheels cause back in the day when wheel shopping it was between those, my hock Rs, some Millie Miglia 5 spokes, Borbet 6 spokes, and TSW 7 spokes...

I want to go get my circa 1998 wheel catalogs right now...lol

    Nice read PK.

Your car always reminds me of Ethans old mk3.. . . simple, deliberate and tasteful mods without all the bs.

well thank u man. i started that thread years back and it's for everyone to contribute to.
what do you mean by "whenever i see messed up mk3s i here i just pass on by" ?
I mean, it takes time to get a car where you want to it to, if even decent.
granted, we see POS cars on here daily, i like to think a lot of them are "works in progress".

which jetta are you talking about?

thanks for the words, ya know me all too well
and i feel that's what it's all about. no need for over the top, balled out crazy ****.

Matt, as long as I get these wheels sorted out. i'll be there

With that, i'm gonna tell everyone that these latest wheels will definitely be the last wheels on my car for a long time. No, no, for real! I'm serious! hahah. It's time for an Intermission.
I picked up one more set of wheels yesterday and they will be a project set that I hope to rock late spring.

So, if i'm not putting on dope wheels, what else am I gonna do?

I love the GTI front end and wouldn't really change it but I am considering the following:

    Jetta smoked ecodes
Late Jetta badgeless grill with slats black
Vento bumper and Vento CL lip

    or

    Dual rounds! with clear lamps
    Kamei Grille
Rieger GTX lip - hard to find in stock form, maybe only reps floating around. But i've always wanted one and maybe i'll get lucky.

Motorwise, i'm really just collecting all the parts to get a solid build going.

    I have collected so far:
    268 DRC Cams
    Neuspeed power pulleys
2.9 Upper & Lower Intake Manifolds
    and...nothing else

    The car already has:
    Autotech SS 2.5" w/Magnaflow Exhaust
    TT Chip
Ported Downpipe and Exhaust manifold (Root beer tuning)
    Turn2 CAI
    ABD Big Bore elbow
    BFI .5 motor mount inserts

word Bryan, seems like a solid list.
did you replace or keep the lifters?

    word up, Mack'!
the 17s are def not gonna be everyone's taste.
but i like them and they look at home on my ride.
16's def look better, but i've done 16's pretty hard at this point.

Love the car PK. I'm a little biased toward flash red for obvious reasons.

If you ever sell the hatch/bumpers, please keep me in mind. Is that the OEM VR lip I sold you in the sand picture?

I have a late style flash red grille with black slats that you can have on the cheap.
