The question is though, why would you need a rearview camera ? Is that some kind of Wog perversion I am missing ?

No really, I mean it's not that you're driving a massive van with no rear visibility whatsoever.

I am moving to 1/72 by the way.

that's more manageable... i did a 1/72 a10a warthog once... freaking loved it till my bro smashed it..

to answer the question, it's just a convenience thing.
I nearly scraped the crap outta my pipes the other day, due to a rock being on the road in a car spot - little things like that...
plus it also helps squeezing into those little sydney spots.

I manage to squeeze my yacht in Sydney on almost daily basis, no issues.

I think you're just looking for an excuse to spend $$$ on car instead of getting your hoochie a present.

I would have been sceptical too, but after seeing the RVC in action I would definitely option it.

Thing is, it's a $500 option and I'm guessing it will cost at least, maybe even double to retrofit.

Hey J-Tim, do you do radio controlled plane? I have never had one and they facinate me. But I want to know where you are allowed to fly them etc. I suspect it's one of those too hard basket things.

that, i did not know.... pricing for just the kit is $600... didn't realise it was a $500 option (but you would've had to have the rns-510 from factory.
wonder if dealer can retro fit it?

99% sure that's not correct. Works fine with RCD-510 too.

I just did one for a mate in a mk5 with an rns 510. make sure you get the right kit and stay away from the kufatec, in my experience in both my car and others the RVC does not engage all the time, its a PIA.

Buzz me when your free and im happy to point you in the right direction.

as for those that question the RVC and say "you cant drive" or "why do you need it"......when you have kids around like i do its a must for all cars........its mainly safety rather than what am i going to hit.

No, it's just a standard plastic model.
As for radio controlled, I think you need some kind of license in order to be able to fly them.

so it encourages you to go for a 12 minute walk, whats wrong with that but i've seen people get like 20-30m from em so i think the quality is a bit hit and miss atm but i'll get one they're only 300 bucks or so US so sure to pop up cheap some place soonish if not already

also imagine if it did have a huge range c*nts walkin past would nick off with em left right and senna yano
