This car was semi-modified prior to me owning it. Chris Lee aka " Blue VR" did alot of work, but sold the car before finishing it. He did keep alot of the parts that were intended for it .

Black on Black is classic in my eyes and honestly this car was the best local candidate. I had my eye on this car for a few years seeing its potential and finally decided to pick it up. Not from Chris but the owner that purchased it from him, "Vince" .I hadn’t found anything in the 2 years that was even comparable to this corrado.

The car came with the wheels, turbo kit and a pair of retrofitted custom headlights. Some extra parts & subtle goodies were obviously added along the way. The dash was swapped out for a newer style and some ddi gauges were also added.

Certain aspects of the car would have taken me great time to achieve so I give Chris credit for alot of time, money and effort spent. There being another reason this car was such a great scoop.

As soon as I took possession the H&R cup kit was immediately taken out and replaced with Ksport-coils. Less rubbing on the rear arches made the car more tolerable to drive as a daily. The rear arches were and are still in need of attention due to a tire size being to big causing the paint to crack.

At Blitzkrieg Autowerk s I had, all new brakes, alternator & power steering pump installed. They also changed the exhaust to a Touareg style tip for me so it would match the cut out in the bumper.

The Schmidt Th lines are my favorite thing about the car. The fitment itself is amazing, only issue was the rear tires were to big and have been recently changed to a 205/40 on a 9” wide wheel. The shell is super clean but needs a bit body work done on the fenders and I would like to also re-undercoat it after its fully resprayed.

The forsale pics of when I got it--

    First week:

    Alternator job

Chopped off the hideous long exhaust tip :

    before:

After: got one that fit the stock cutout properly

Seeing as the car came with a cup kit and brakes & power steering were in desperate need of being changed I decided it was on the list of things to do first.

I went with K-sport coils at the time cause there was a group buy and they went really low and were possibly easy to play with. As well as Zimmermen Cross-Drilled Rotors - all around

Pic after coils installed--rear sat way nicer and didnt rub on every little bump

I was having issues with the rear speakers so I decided to get some high end alpines and do some customization to the stock rear trays to accomidate. It worked out great and sounds awesome.

I knew i wasn't going to have time to do any more to it before I left to go to miami that year. So I put her in storage and left the car on the back burner for the time being. However Andrew Holliday did shoot some pics of the car prior to me leaving

    2009

As some of you may know, I was off work this winter due to a work accident . I took advantage of the time I had and put some touches into the Corrado "Gotham"

It all started when I purchased a wierchers cage from a fellow dubber- Dj juice- Jay Just kinda snowballed from there.......

    The interior came out

    bumpers off

Re-wired the stereo: for the sub and 5 Chanel amp

Box was built for 1 10" sub---sony is just for template

Custom shallow box- wrapped in vinyl-re mounted amp flush

wrapped wires with heat-shrink to make them all black to clean it up= thanks Justin aka richmond69r

    Test fit run #1

    Must trim the rear doorcards

    view from outside car

all in after tons of cursing and yelling ahahah

custom rear mounting brackets made by me- will be undercoated over this weekend

After it was all said and done and the interior back in .I took her for a spin and realized the thermostat housing was leaking :'( :'(

The start of the real winter project

some great work by one of the previous owners..... ??? ??? just retard---I was amazed

all they did was fold the metal over which created a pocket for water to sit in a rust ??? ??? WOW

took the whole front clip off to discover some more surface rust and some wiring that needed to be wrapped. while I was at it i also painted the ballasts and wrapped the wires for them

    b4- engine shot

    Leaky thermosdat housing

re-wrapped all wires with high grade black hockeytape 8)

    bottles b4 pic

    took the old rad out

    new one

sanded and painted the front end after properly cutting the void for intercooler piping

some new goodies i decided to paint

passed some time= took a break to decorate with ben spencer and jamie

test fit the manifold- see if u can notice any difference

    b4

    after

Work pics of me doing some wiring= richmond69r aka justin snapped a few- hes also building a stage 3 vr6 white mk2 jetta coupe

    picked up more goodies:

Bought some euro polo wipers- now they are flat style and work and fit amazing-

new rubbers for the front seats

    samco clamps

Changed the bulbs to chrome indicator bulbs so no amber in headlight till the turn signal is going

some track wheels! sold them ! dont go with my theme i want

    some inspiration

I was looking closely at the cage after i had it all in and realized i should wet sand and polish it to make it pop and match the wheels.....so out it came and after hours of sanding from 400-2500 grit and then hit with Auto-Glym it was ready to be put back in

cleaned up bolts for the cage ---black caps

Since Ive owned the car I have wanted to take the ugly clear tint that was on the rear window and passenger rear small. Anyone ever need help or have questions I used a steam cleaner and it works sooo well. a little goo gone after and looks like new ;D

    so....

old coils - ksports- hardly used in awesome shape ---sold locally to mk3 dubber
photos of new ones to come they are on there way here

    last 2 shots for now

    Special Delivery New kw V2

jeff at pg installing them- I had planned on helping but we ran into an issue with my wheel lock--It broke so of to ceco to buy 2 new ones

ew la la---great fitment but down the road more stretch will complete it\

still fresh and spin by hand like the first day

    Static vs AIR

Thanks Ben and Mike for the Pics

Some-more Andrew shot on the way up to whistler :gimme5:

    Car is dope.

However, I am wondering why your 93 has 92 door cards?
Did Canada get a few like that?

yeh I didnt install the shaved bumpers yet they arent finished. The front needs to be trimmed to accommodate the intercooler before being painted and the rear has yet to be started being filled. Basically I have them as a spare set and also to change up the look in the near future.

It just looks different cause I have a newer style dash swap in it- I might change the doorcards one day but for now its different.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!!!! Not to sure if Im gonna have any major changes done for next years show season.......But ill post up forsure

It is because in Canada they never sold any 92s. Early 92 g60s were sold as 91s and late 92 vr6s were sold as 93s.

lol that' funny cuz i never cut that out at all, cuz the intercooler pipe clears without cutting that out. Looks more like someone didnt know how to put the intercooler and the bumper back on and started cutting and hitting it. Only thing i cut was the tow hook bar on the driverside cuz that was in the way of the piping

i sold that car 4-5 years ago and the rust looks like it just started building.

u have the early door cards cuz i had the late ones at home and i never put it in. I had full set of late door cards, recaro seats and was going to get it done in cream leather, which i never got around to get it done. Toffeerado end up buying all my extra parts for the Corrado. U know how hard is to find late door cards and all the little parts locally.

I dont know whats worse the fact your saying you didn't cutt it ...or the fact you left it bent like that to trap the water The guy that bought it off you NEVER had the front end apart.... He didnt know cars very well, and hardly even drove it So I hate to say it but i can only point the finger at the person who installed the turbo kit!

Regardless its water under the bridge and the car has been put back proper and with attention to detail this time

right right... because a car like mine doesn't place in shows, hasn't been found in magazines, hasn't been used in production videos made by tuning company's who have never touched the car, hasn't been used in calendars, and hasn't been used for advertising purposes for performance parts.

Well your pretty ignorant to think japanese market cars are rusted out junk. Do you know how stringent the standards are for cars in Japan? They are tested hyper frequently and must be kept in good condition to be registered. The Japanese climate does not cause very much rust at all and there is no salt on the roads etc. There is a reason why cars are imported to Canada from Japan. They are low km, and mint. My car cost 8,000 dollars landed in Canada and had only 83,000 kms. I paid no where near the landed cost of the car, and very few Corrados are being imported because it costs more then buying them locally. So basically I have a low km, good condition, rust free, euro-spec Corrado. And I can make eliteists like you mad by saying my car is mad jdm. No need for jealousy

Its more of a self-satisfactions and sense of accomplishment,t accompanied by learning along the way.If you dont have fun and dont enjoy it then dont do it

If you read my post I only started the semi build -due to the fact I was off work for 6 months with a mouth and face injury. Smashed teeth from work= NOT BEST.

I couldn't bare to sit around when I could make good use of my time

JamesS, I'm waiting for your car to be "mad JDM". Still have yet to see it.

Until then then only thing that pops into my head when you speak of your car is something along the lines of this:

Congratulations, you've become the new 1lowcoupe.

And its true that the kid you bought it off of never had the ability to take the front bumper off BUT I do know for a fact that he brought the car to several car shops for work (at least 3 of them that I know of and not just for oil changes)... So Tyler, please get your facts straight before you call out other people. And it is you that did buy this corrado without noticing that...
