    Thread: VR6 Wiring Harness

      I pulled everything from a 95 Jetta but it was an automatic, Can I use this harness for my vr6 swap even though I'm going to 5 speed or will i need to get a 5 speed wire harness

      I've been in this situation quite a few times...including right now...

      I'm debating which route to take myself. I usually just source a 5 spd harness but my budget is tight right now and if i can use it, i'll use it.

      My plan is to use my OBD1 harness from fusebox to the T42 and OBD2 from the T42 to the engine. I'm about 90% sure it's interchangeable.

      FYI, i have a OBD2 VR engine with harness from an auto. I'm gonna use the OBD1 harness from my Coupe

      correct........ my buddy did this and it worked...

      Im going to do a dash swap as well so will this effect anything?

      couldn't you use the harness as normal but bypass the automatic wiring?

      my car is running an OBD2 auto harness and ECU ATM i do have an OBD1 MT harness and ECU for sale
