I'm kind of ignorant to the Bane comic book character... but I wonder if Tom Hardy is going to have some sort of CGI muscle explosion at the end of the movie when he fights Batman

Which is asinine. Nothing in the prior two films would indicate that Nolan would portray Bane as an overly muscular, perhaps Venom'd brute.

well he is buffed out in the movie. I'm glad they did not make him look ridiculous. It adds to the realism of the story line and so far in the last 2 movies they have done just that.

'Tim' Drake in the comics was Robin (Red Robin)...I think that might be kind of cartoony for this Batman universe though. I'm thinking Azrael or Nightwing as both of them are much darker characters.

i think azrael is human - just another assassin in a bloodline

azrael character was used in the comics to defeat bane

wonder if the name change was to throw us nerds off or if azrael is being left out

Perhaps the John Drake character is to leave the ending open to the comic book fans. Nolan's repeatedly said no Robin for his telling of the story, but that's not to say he hasn't conjured up a mixture of canon to produce a possible sidekick/replacement for Batman.

Nolan and Bale have also said that they were done with the character, but I wouldn't be shocked to see John Drake/Thomas Gordon-Levitt become Batman.

What's killing the whole movie for me, and I know it's been beaten to death already, is Bane - I'm just not buying him. Every time I see him, I just think of how goofy he looks and again, I'm sorry, but he needs to be a bigger guy. I don't care how good the guy acts, there still has to be a visual to back it up on screen. The mask looks retarded (and frankly, yes, I would've rather seen something closer to the comics) and he's just not big enough. I know y'all are going to hate on that, but if I watch this movie, it's going to be going through my head constantly. There are other things I keep seeing in the various trailers and other short videos that just doesn't seem right to me - maybe too over the top compared to the last two? I'm not really sure what it is about it that isn't tickling my "I HAVE TO SEE IT ON DAY ONE!!!" button. I'm sure it's going to make a quatrillion dollars, but it'll be something I end up seeing on DVD when it comes out.

In the first part of your post you suggest Bane is not big enough and needs to parallel the comics more but them go on to say it looks too far over the top for your liking.
