Didnt see any threads, thought it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to seeing airplanes that you've seen recently or taken photos of!

I stop by HIO and Pdx frequently so..

Piper Seminole? Landing at Hillsboro with Mt. Saint Helens in the background

Yup, a PA44 Seminole. Did it make a faint whistle as it flew by?

I took my multi in a Seminole too. I used to loved that whistle sound. Sounded a little like a jet.

That's good, because the PiperJet sounds like a dog whistle.

I did my private, commercial, and instrument multi in the PA44. Good trainers with no single engine performance.

caught these two coming into HIO a few days ago with my new Nikon D50

Now that i have a nice camera, i'll be shooting planes like hell. Time for a Pdx visit

These were shot with a 70-300mm lens.. i want bigger, but this will suffice for now

A couple of guys stopped by the airport today to take pics of the 7X, and we happened to have a flight, so they hung around until we took off. I thought they came out pretty well.
    Thanks, Paul!

Ran down to 'Vegas at 45,000 feet and mach .85 for lunch.

Added a couple of cockpit pics just to whet your appetite
Still feels weird getting in an airplane and having no steering wheel!

Here's a shot Kevin took through the HUD on the way back from 'Vegas on Thursday night. 43,000 feet, Auto-throttles set to .85 Mach, 13 knots of wind coming from about one-o'clock, indicated airspeed 243 knots. Our true airspeed was about 485 if memory serves.

B-17 and B-24 at Boca Raton today. Snapped a crappy cell phone pic of the B-17 taking off while I was on I-95.

Nothing quite that fancy, I'm afraid. Every once in a while one of my guys (retired F-15 drivr) will see another airplane flying by and say something like, "Easy AIM-7 shot." Once a fighter pilot, always a fighter pilot I guess. I'll never know
Took the ol' gal up to 49,000 last night. It was a short flight (Reno to Salem) so we didn't have time to try for more. Didn't want to pull a Pinnacle 3701, so we climbed pretty slowly. Took just under 30 minutes to get to 49 and she stabilized at .83 mach at ISA-2. Then it was time to start down for the home 'drome. We'll give 51 a shot some time when we're light and it's cold.

Not much to look at outside through the HUD at night.

Crappy cel phone pic, but you get the idea.

Yeah, we've been very surprised by the performance on the doggone thing. The power-to-weight ratio is worse than on the '2000, but it climbs like a rocket in comparison, and then burns only about 15% more fuel at similar cruise speeds. Damned good aerodynamics, I guess.

Trip in really low conditions last week (broke out at mins+100 on the ILS) Saw a 7X when we stopped at Dulles, didn't get a picture of it, though.
