You may want to think about redoing this if your doing this for performance:

Put a nice thick plate behind it and weld it to the body of the car. It is currently welded to a piece that has a lot of flex to it, that bar is pretty much worthless beyond just looks.

    Example:

Thanks man, that's actually on my "To-Do List". I was planning on cutting the bar out, welding in nice big plates, then welding a new bar.

Believe it or not, that bar does do a fair amount already, especially keeping the rear end square. Pretty incredible. But that's part of the reason I wanna reinforce it, just to make sure it's all gunna stay in place.

Finished welding my throttle body pipe and Diverter valve port. 

We're at a slight hold, I blew the motor in my Corrado (daily), and will be swapping a VR into that over the next 24 hours. 

Nope, picked up a b3 passat obd1 VR. It's currently sitting out front of my house.

Between selling the leathers out of the Passat, the good parts from the G60, and scrapping the Passat shell I should have no problem recovering the money i spent on the donor car.

It's like getting a free VR swap 
