However, they have never had the joy of throwing a rabbit through snow banks, or the comfort of recaros in an A2 GLI, or repainting the steel louvers in the back window of your early Scirocco. Sadly they have missed the real depth of awesomeness in the VW family. I'm glad they dig a 'dub, even if it's not really capturing the soul.

The other group doesn't have anything newer than '98 and we race anything. We're the guys who buy the old cars for $200 and drive them until they sputter, drop in a new motor, then keep going.....and every VW is a racecar, including the doo-doo brown 30 hp diesel 4-door rabbit on stock 13" wheels.

The orange rabbit is owned and driven by Chuck Mathis, and much like our drag car (the white A2), it was built by committee. Our little circle of knuckleheads have produced all sorts of auto-x champs, several SCCA roadracing champs (including the orange car above) and even a rally car or two.

That rabbit is the one from the runoffs.
    Bravo, well put.

I'm going need to watch that runoff race again this weekend.

In regard to the rally cars, has your group made it to LSPR at all over the years, I've brought home a bunch of pictures from there the last few years.

A couple of my pals ran the 0 and 00 cars at the 100 Acre Wood Rally here in Missouri with an Audi 4000Q. Another has a G60/16v A2 GTI for rallycross that will eventually end up on the tour.

A few years ago, we were going to bring the Audi to Treffen all covered in mud just to make the "show car" guys freak out.

We should have a Madspeed party after the new year. With stuff that is good. We could get clowns and a dunk tank. Maybe we could injest, like, herion soaked grapes and run around in our underpants. Its possible that we could hire da yoopers or something to play music. I like that song 30 point buck. And for an encore we could let loose amputee strippers or something, to slide around and put boobs on things. I dunno why but amputees kinda turn me on a little. Then joe.d could go home all hot to the dolphin and realize once again that its gonna be a solo job. I think we could make it happen. I can account for all of the above except da yoopers. Anyone know them personally at all? Hit me up.

Gonna go throw wrenches at the new daily today... Should make for an exciting day. I've been procastinating on working on it lately because it's running fine. Unfortunately with 170k on the motor, I don't think the original timing belt has alot of life left in it...

So how about mid January for our DIV planning meeting AKA debauchrous night of carousing in some city, the target his year being madison. Lots of neat ideas out there, we need to bring them altogether...

    Discuss.

That works but ill tell you this....if we do it in green bay, i can play host at a classy, chill venue with free homade pizza, cheap beer, hot bartenders, djs, and random big boobed bimbos walking around. i also have 2 spare bedrooms with double beds in each. gimme a chance to do this and i promise you it will be live. But i hope you already know that.

Im gonna tell you right now, its gonna come down to distance issues. I can guarantee I have more to offer. If its in madison, were gonna hit a good place to eat. Maybe we will get lucky and there will be a good show somewhere. But here, Ill be planning everything. So i can Guarantee the music we want. I can guarantee the venue will be ours with only people we want there. I can guarantee free homade pizza that is soooo good. I can guarantee 2 hot ass bartenders that will never charge full price for a drink for us. I can guarantee that ill have other girls there to party. I can even guarantee an after party with more djs and possibly a hot tub at a house close to mine. Why i wanna do it here is cuz i can control every aspect. Dont have to worry about random douches or driving all over town. Ben knows my click here well enough to know how it is. Ben, ill even invite a bunch of asian girls just for you We gotta figure this out sooner than later though so i dont double book anything down here.
