If you do black order the brush on ceramic from Summit, or just drive over there and get it. Makes application soo much easier, that is what I used on my trans housing.

Here's what I'm thinking. Gloss black with the Fahrenheit logo in orange. Won't be until winter if I do though. Although after I install the APR stage 3 parts next winter I'll be looking to replace the brakes (and suspension) anyway.

It also once crossed my mind to have the inner wheels powder coated magma orange but I've seen a lot of people overdo it on these cars. I'd have to photoshop it first.

I'll be doing coils, unfortunately it won't be this summer. I've spent all I can on it for the year. Plan is to pick up the stage 3 + intercooler and coils during the winter sale.

Found this online. Pretty informative regarding suspension tuning. It's a lot of reading but intersting if you have the time...

I almost walked yesterday with a 2011 Ms3 as my new car... Don't know why I stay with this Rabbit![]()

Hey GuysI have some air ride stuff for sale if anyone is interested. MK4 and MK5 platforms, management and bags. Bagyard and Easystreet struts.

My opinion on this comment... Mazda has made only 2 cars for the US that are worth while (RX7/ MX5). Stay strong and don't stray too far from Deutschland. If however, I was to get a non German hatchback, I'd wait for the Focus ST. But even then I still prefer a GTi. Also, don't forget the BRZ. I'm hoping the BRZ spurs a movement for affordable RWD performance imports.

I'm still getting a BRZ, but they just announced a 2013 STI version so I'm holding out for that. The BRZ will cost 31k base, the FRS 24k base. Ms3 is probably the best hatch out right now. It's cleaning up the touring car races. Just watched the race Sunday in St. Petersburg Florida where the ms3 driver walked all over the gtis, and the new 2012 HPA gli and every other car in the touring class for that matter.
Only reason I entertained it because it was a great deal only 3k miles owned by a older guy. It comes with a ko4 stock, Cobb accessport gives you the ability to tune the car on the fly. My brother has one making huge power with a ko4 so I have to say I'm biased toward them. His ms3 with stock ko4 will walk a stage 3 2.0t(his friend has mk6)

Perhaps I don't know enough about the MS3 to have an "intelligent" opinion. I always looked at that car like a Neon SRT. Yes it's fast, but it's still a Neon. The MK5 and 6 GTI are certainly not the fastest HB's available but the added comfort, build quality, and modest yet aggressive look keeps them in a class by themselves. I'll do myself a favor a research the MS3 a bit more before I jump to any conclusions again.
I'm still like 3-4 years away from looking at another car. I'll likely hold on to my Fahrenheit though regardless. If I can find a "reasonably" priced low mileage 911 Turbo I may go that route. Those are big dreams though as it's an assload of money I don't have.

Ya every test shows the ms3 better all around than gti and stock for stock on a track was faster than a r32. Ms3 has better transmission, and stock suspension geometry. Actually very similar in weight too(ms3>i)

It's these discussions that make me grind my teeth. At what point do I stop pouring money into my GTI and buy a properly fast far? I guess it's the dilemma we all face but it aches the pit of my stomach knowing that I can easily dump another 10k into my GTI before I finally say to myself "okay, I'm happy with this." Even then I can see doing more. Hell, another 10K only covers a stage 3 kit, suspension and brakes.

Then again, when all is said and done I'll have one hell of a car that I'm extremely happy with for under 40k. There really aren't many cars in the 40k price range I particularly like in the arena of performance.

Ya VW needs to step it up, before they're left in the dust. A comfortable interior doesn't mean anything to me.

Sti, EVO, used m3, used z06, tons of cars that would outperform a 360hp golf. I don't know why I stay with vw, I think its because I love the mkv body style, and it was my first new car so it holds a place in my mind, but I would be soo much happier if I would have just bought the tornado red r32 that was in the showroom when I bought the 2.5. But woulda, coulda, shoulda is how life goes
I am soo happy I held off on preordering the BRZ! I can't wait till the STI version rolls out.

!@#$!!!! I just finished a long winded speech on my thoughts regarding the direction VW is going right before pressing some magic button on my keyboard that backed up my browser. !@#$!!!! I need to get outside and put this fuel filter on. I'll retype it in a bit.

I'm still trying to get a pit pass for the tc race at mid Ohio in August, hang around the HPA gli.

the new ms3's are ugly. 2008 was the best it ever looked. they definitely clean up though!
