Don't get me wrong, I love the DSG and car, but like I said... I feel limited.

I need to start taking action on my next car, and what I'm getting takes a bit of time and monetary discipline to get to. Because of that I want to finalize a decision on my Fahrenheit and go with it.

RSC and HPFP are inevitable next month. Just waiting for the APR sale.
Nope Apr stage 3 with a dsg flash and your good to go. Also I believe the stage 3 kit comes with a hpfp if I'm not mistaken So you mind as well go stg3 I'll get more into it later.

Anymore power for a fwd car is not worth it - wheel hop

speaking of stg2+ ...you think if swapped out my pump and put s3 injectors it would cure my problems? i still think its a fueling issue... and if im going to be spending the money i might as well get the go-fast parts

Yeah... I'll be 2+ before the "driving season" gets here. I'm very much aware of wheel hop on this car, at the track I used to get terrible wheel hop with my current set-up. My fix was (is) a 2500 - 2700 RPM launch at 25 PSI in the fronts (40 in rear). Acceleration through 80 MPH at stage I is pretty impressive, what I'm concerned with is top end. I seems that after about 80 MPH the car falls apart. In fact, last year at DW42 I "raced" a GT-R. First 1/8th of a mile was nearly neck and neck, but at about 1/8th of a mile it was very much over. That car was stock, that car was a monster. At no moment did I even think I had any sort of chance against that car, but it reminded me that my top end sucks. I raced an orange 2006 Exige that day also, I wish I would have gotten a picture with that car.

Someone please tell me if I'm wrong, but regarding wheel hop and APR "stages," between II+ and III, APR advertises a 2.6% increase in torque. Hell, between stage I and II+ the increase is only 7.7%. Wheel hop is directly related to the torque (removing variables) right?

All of my bad math considered, the increased wheel hop would be negligible considering the small increase in torque no?

Alternatively, someone that's been driving a MKV FSI with a full stage 3 setup could give me an idea of what to "expect" over a long period of time.

There are relatively cheap fixes for wheel hop... Also motor mounts wouldn't be a bad purchase either...

In a perfect world I'd find a brand new 2009 GTI (TSI) on some lot somewhere. The dealer would tell me that they simply can't get rid of the car so I can have it for like $10,000. I'd then remove the body panels and interior from my Fahrenheit and put them on/ in the '09. Just a thought.

Back to reality. Still looking for something to transport those wheels of yours (Kevin).

If you can't I'll just have you remove the two I'm keeping, and the buyer can remove the two trashed tires. Let me know. 2 tires is all I'm keeping so those two can just be removed, if it'll be easier for you let me know its cool if just the 2 come off.

Does anyone recommend a particular shop, mechanic, or dealership in the Cleveland area for VW servicing and repair? I have a mk4 that needs some troubleshooting.

I'm sure there is a few weekly gtgs. I'm not certain offhand tho. The pub we used to meet at closed their doors, I've been absent ever since... We will have QS&L on Sundays starting up here pretty soon in Elyria. Also have the glgtg in Mentor on May 6th. There is also a hot mess of a gtg in Akron called "Superfly" which is a mix of every style, make and model, with autocrossing in a small lot. I'm sure there's more I have just been away doing my own thing for the winter.

Jeff Pilny at global garage in akron is a really good guy/shop. I go to him (I'm in mentor) for work on my S4.

So I've messaged vortex admin a few times about this to no avail. As much as I enjoy this thread, I can no longer accept that Volkswagen is spelled "Volkwagens" in the thead title. Although I'd sooner accept that over "Volkswagon..." I hate that.

Anyway, what this is all leading to is a new thread. Aside from correctly spelling Volkswagen, perhaps it will relight or improve upon the interest of gtg's and such in our area. I know the season is still a couple months away, but I really want this to be a good spring, summer, and fall with gtg's and such.

How does everyone feel about a new thread?

Should we advertise NE OHIO VAG or VW?
