and to add to this, my wifes little rat terrier loves to lick his face all the time. it usually makes it dry or irritated. sometimes it will get all gross. we got some yeast wipes from our vet. we wipe real good once a week an keeps his face looking good.

It's funny seeing how similar they all kind of are, especially when they are tired. Great pics brownbag and awesome pumpkin I was thinking of trying one myself at least now I know that it could come out good.

This is Snoopy, aka Chalupa, noopy, shoopy, boog, or bubba. I call him my old man though. He's about 8 years old, and doesn't get to go to shows with me, but we go for car rides and he's happy.

Lets talk dog food. Penny is going to turning 1 in december. My vet told me I can take her off of her puppy food already. She is currently taking Eukanuba Puppy Growth food. I want to switch her over to Royal Canin Bulldog 24. Is anyone else feeding this to your bulldog?

I feed my all my boys Science Diet. I mix dry food and I also boil chicken for them. So they get 2 scoops of Science Diet dry food with boiled shredded chicken. They love it!!!

well we were giving bogart Solid Gold Hund-n-Flocken. did good for his stomach an coat. before he had some skin issues with heat spots....but after his acl hip surgery the vet told us to switch to purina jm, so now he is on prescription for that. not that much more expensive. just sucks that we can only get it thru them an sometimes they dont have it in stock in the big bag. but bogart is jumping around the house an has lost weight with since switching.

solid gold did my dog well. the popular brands always gave us problems. so stick with a all natural dog food.

we did try the Royal Canin Bulldog. did really well for the month we tried. helped out on his gassy butt lol. but we have another dog. and the vet recomended the pur jm after surgery

also eukanuba and blue buffalo. google an talking to a vet always helps.

can someone tell me how your houses hold up to these dogs?

ive always wanted a bulldog and yes i am well aware of their character, health issues etc. my issue is that im scared it will destroy my house. i also have allergies to some dogs so im concerned on the shedding...does it shed alot?

    can anyone chime in please

    thanks

  25. 11-07-2011 11:53 AM #130
One thing about these dogs is they shed ALOT, my whole bed is covered in hair (my dogs sleep with me) and out of the three dogs I have my bulldog sheds the most. So if you are allregic to some dogs maybe you should look into it before getting one.

Honestly I have never ran into a problem with our dogs. We have our 11 month old bulldog and 6 year old boston terrier. When we leave the house they both just kick back and sleep most of the time.

When drinking be prepared to get wet. Lol. Key is Def to have chew toys. But oddly my bulldog is almost 3 years old an we leave him out. Has tons of toys but randomly started to chewing. He chewed on a table leg an a power cord. This was random. An hasn't happened again.

Wow my guy is only 62lbs, and I thought that was descent.

  34. 11-14-2011 02:08 PM #139
    wow 85 pounds!!!!

Mine is only between 55-60 but then again he is all muscle. Everytime I take him to the Bulldog dog park other owners ask me how did I get him so muscular, I tell him I walk him daily and he is very active.
