Want to refurb the RC's for now, I really like the look and plan on keeping them regardless of any future wheel upgrades, so might be doing that soon

Crazy time today, drove down to a GTG in Santa Cruz through CRAZY rain storms, won 6 prizes: amp energy drinks, an 034 motorsport engine mount, a "Looxcie" wearable camcorder, some wine which i gave away, two t-shirts

On the way home my friend Jeremy ran out of gas on a deserted road, had to go back to get gas and ended up going through 4 feet of flood water twice, yes it was in the engine bay, then pulling back on the highway I found another dubber Paul in his MK2, heading home from the GTG and we went back to Jeremy, my belt squealing from the water. Got Jeremy filled up with gas and drove through the worst fog ever, on an 8 foot wide road, slamming sub frame the whole way. Almost drove off a few cliffs, but all in all a good day, and an unforgettable set of memories:

Haha thaks for the post Ian, I was about to. So in other news, the transmission mount I won yesterday won't fit my auto


So I called Sam at 034 Motorsports and he said to come on down and we'd figure it out. He set me up with a coil cover, two new track density strut mounts, and a sticker The store is amazing, a fully build engine in the lobby, Perf VW out to read, and friendly people, highly recommend doing business with them. Now pics:

What's the coil cover all about? Keeping heat out? rain? gremlins?

I need to figure out what I want to do with the 2.7T phenolic spacers I won.
Haven't called him up yet, but I didn't see much stuff on their website for my car - perhaps they can order something. I honestly don't even know what I'd want though.

Today my neighbor Gary started modding his Jetta and I helped him out. Started out with an intake, textured rubs and grill, debadge, a good clean, and threw in my old fogs








He is planning on vinying the B pillars between the windows, and hopefully doing coils in the not too distant future

2. clear sidemarkers
3. stubby
4. lower it
5. Hella Micro DEs if he rolls deep enough

I don't know why, for some reason I get excited everytime I see a clean, unmodded Mk4.

Just having larger (even OEM) wheels and a lower stance (even your stock GLI stuff) would take that car to another level.

I'm digging the textured molding. It's a great way to make your car different without screaming "I'M A MODIFIED IMPORT!".

That's his plan, he just wants to throw coils on and wheels in the future, but the textured rub and grill set it off, not too flashy, but very, very clean.

I also got to put my 10mm spacers on yesterday, after waiting for BFI extended lugs, and I am quite happy with them.





In other news, I traced the bottom the GLI lip and had my dad bring the pattern up to a sheet metal shop in San Fransisco, they made me two perfect skid plates which I put on today
