I broke an axle last night.

ive been there done that with my MKV ...i cant speak for all cars but on mine it was a breeze to fix and im not that mechanically experienced

Wasn't so much a pain changing it. It was locating it. I called all the part suppliers I deal with : Auto Parts Warehouse, Auto Zone, Advance Auto, Napa, Lehigh valley foreign car, etc. Finally called the dealer who said they had to special order and my price was 300 + tax but he gave a call to Auto Parts International and they had it. Swap was really a breeze minus the fact of doing it in front of my house which is on a slight hill, and it off and on raining. Ended up having to do a water pump in my in-laws Mercury Sable wagon that night too

Ya, your driveway is flat jack*** i was hoping to get some kind of interchange to upgrade to gti/gli axle's. Guess that's gonna have to wait until i get around to do a 6spd swap

I had the same problem but i needed to get it fixed to get to and from work so i just broke down and got it from York VW cuz they had it in stock

I wish. It broke Saturday night, had to call up a coworker to tow the car back to the house. spend most of sunday calling around. Wouldn't be so bad if I had my truck on the road, but bodywork isn't done and still need to do other work done to it so its been sitting at my job

So after leatheriquing my seats in my S60 last night, I had gotten Pristine clean all over the electronics on the bottom of the drivers seat (the front was hit pretty hard with cracks). I decided to unplug them, clean them, and hit them with some tuner cleaner for better contact.

Well, stupid me, I unplugged the airbag one as well and cleaned it. Now I have an SRS message. I'm almost certain that is what it is...

So what do you have to do in a Volvo to check it and then turn it off? I know in a BMW, I had to get a special reader.

I'm told I need a Vida Dice tool or something. Anyone nearby that has one?

Any good scanner "should" be able to pull and clear them. But Volvo are a pain in regards to the trouble codes. I would need to check our snap-on solus. I can tell you most quick scanners wont
