Bought the car completely stock on Valentines days 2009. Left it alone for a couple months but eventually got a Carbonio intake and a R1 diverter valve to start it all off. Got it APR tuned at H2Oi and added a 3” turbo back exhaust from APR shortly after.
During the ’09-’10 winter season I bought as set of Mercedes Brabus Monoblock VI’s and kept them in storage until spring. Around the same time I was talking to Andrew from ORT about the Bagyard Bomber group buy he was doing and also got a hold of Accuair's Stage 2 Air Management. By March I got everything I needed and put it all together with the help of a few great people. Made it out for a lot of shows and gtg’s just to show the car off and was the start of me getting to know a lot of great and helpful people on this forum site.
Nothing major went down this year, just a few cosmetics; all red tails, lower grill fogs, rear wiper delete to start the year off. Again went to a bunch of shows and gtg’s and placed 2nd in the MkIV Mild class at Summer Sizzle. Towards the end of the year I finally got around to getting a frame notch. Got bored with the all reds and got a set of golf tails and amber side markers just to change it up. Wanted a cleaner looking back end and more a deeper exhaust tone so I chopped up my ARP exhaust, added a Magnaflow muffler and a turn down tip, a euro rear bumper and a shaved 20th valance. Again, a lot of helpful hands went into these projects, so thank you to those people!
Being unemployed sucks. Had to sell the Brabus wheels for extra cash. Nothing exciting happened.
