If I want to drop the car (not SLAM it...I dont like the look of space in the wheel wells is all haha) on a budget what would you suggest and where to get it?? I want to be able to fit 16's or 17's in there..

      Lowering Springs VS Coilovers?

are lowering springs really any cheaper...I heard I need new struts too so wouldnt that make them just as expensive? I also hear I can just cut the struts...lol

Any coilovers out there that are cheap and not ebay JapCrap from some weird oriental country? I know coilovers are 100x better.

I havent checked the classifieds yet as im not 100% ready to buy...only shopping yet. Would it be worth my time going to look there? or is new the only way to go?

just get rokkers there cheap as stated above. but if you can save another $300 as i did then get v-maxx coilovers you may be a bit happier. i live in toronto canada and the roads are ****ty and have potholes every 10 feet, and ive been riding on them for about 6 months now with no issues or noises. just make sure you buy new strut mount bearings because they do take alot of stress when you lower a car.

      LOL...sorry to start the chaos

No offense meant by Oriental Country lol....Ebay Motors is filled with cheap stuff from Thailand Taiwan etc.

Ill take a look into the rokkors and racelands then!

Im assuming that Coilovers are definitely the way to go?

This is very true.. not sure why..... we all drive the same car in the end... we should be looking out for one another... not hate. A suspension is a suspension, no one should be frowned on because they dont have $800 - $1,200 to drop of coils or whatever. I have Rokkors on my car and love them. The ride is fine for me and my car looks good to me. I also like that Rokkors come with a 3 year warranty and all for under $300 shipped. There ok to me.

Yes it is. And to be honest its quite oathetic.

I dont see why people feel the need to be an arrogant ******* at the first sign of a n00b question.

I have been to a few different car forums and never seen so much hate as on here...not just in this thread, all over this site and to be honest as a new member its disheartening.

Normally everyone is quite hellpful and kind. You can tell VW has a younger following.

I had been trying the search button but was unable to find anything useful as a comarison between lowering springs on coilovers.

As for the people here telling me about there experiences with racelands...thank you! I will probably pick some of these up! You were a big help.

$40-$500 Cheap coils. Your car will be as high or as low as you choose. It will handle pretty good but it will be an extremely uncomfortable ride. I've experienced raceland, vmaxx and skunk2s and raceland seems to be the best of the worst but I know a lot of people prefer JOMs or rokkors

$500-$800 Cup Kit. The ride height adjustability is not there but you have springs and struts that will compliment each other. Your car will handle good and be reasonably comfortable to ride in.

$800+ Decent to good coilovers. I had an $800 set of bilstiens and I'd compare the ride quality to that of a cup kit with the ride height adjustability. I also had a $1300 set of pss9s which were adjustable so that they rode like stock but could be adjusted so that they were rock hard. I've heard that H&Rs are even better but I can't say.

The bottom line is that you get what you pay for.

      Now. LOWER IT OR GTFO
I'd love to kick your poodle. I'd love to slig your cat. I'll bust your yanni cds with a baseball bat. I'd send your fat-mouth mama sailing like the flying nun. I'd like to shoot you in the a$$ with a bb gun.
