    Thanks guys!

Why stay handcuffed to my home forums? That's boring... I've always loved Australia! I dream one day to visit the GBR... just crossing my fingers for no oil spill disasters.

yup, yup! got every thing they released. am big SG nerd. loved em!!! however sadly Chris' voice has deterioated over the last 10 years. I hope he goes to signing school and rebuilts it. I saw him with Audioslave in about 2002, and he was great, but the next time we saw him abuot 2006 or whenever it was, his voice was shattered. However Tom, Brad and Tim turned it into a mega RATM jam, and chris just sauntered around happily being the token rock god. Meanwhile the entire horden screamed out the lyrics too al the RATM songs. Buckets of fun! felt bad for Chris tho! he was clearly not in a happy social state with the RATM boys. I guess Chris and tom's ego's couldnt fit int he same auditorium! hahahahah

did you see Alice in Chains when they toured a few years ago? they were awesome...and in many way, better than when Layne was with them!!

Soundgarden did a surprise last minute show in Seattle when I was there in 93 but I was too big of a wuss to go to a gig like that in a city I didn't know that well. Still I have a story to really annoy Soundgarden nerds with

Saw Soundgarden at Big Day Out Gold Coast in early 90's, Smashing Pumpkins were there too, it was very cool. Agreed Chris' voice has gone downhill a little. I really like the Pumpkins so that was one of the more memorable gigs I have ever been to.

Well don't feel too bad, most of us have drank Bud at some stage in our lives.

    Generally before we developed taste.

We don't get the fat can here.

When I was stateside I used to laugh that PBR passes as a beer and not a light refreshment.

Yeah, Bud AND PBR are absolute piss! I can't believe they actually charge money for that crap. Granted, they make good for beer pong at least. I will take any microbrew, from anywhere on either of our continents, before I drink anymore of the piss that's out there.

That was the same BDO that had Bjork and Primus, yeah? I was there. Good day, except I had no sleep the night before, so I fell asleep late afternoon for an hour.

Man, the seppos know how to spoil the look of a car. Those front quarter panel indicator repeaters are terrible.

MTB's? My lady and I have cruisers... just for those grocery store/neighborhood trips and occasional beach boardwalk rides. Nothing hardcore.

They don't blink. And I agree, I think the car would look best without them.

So they are just reflectors? Man, you guys got dealt a lame hand.

I used to have a jade green MkII Jetta. Was a nice car. Early Euro spec bumpers ftw. Written off after being rear ended. I was going to do a twin round conversion until then. Only prob with Jetta visually is the crazy disparity between the heights of the bonnet and the boot. Golfs never had that problem...

Wheels look pretty slick. What are they?

They stay on with the running lights, and they don't blink. Although I think the front quarter would look slicker without them, they don't slow my car down much to mind them. Also, I dig the disparity between the boot and bonnet. Without it, VW may have ended up with what's pictured below...

I have yet to take this car on Laguna Seca, but I plan to in 2011! This little hampster wheel of an engine doesn't make enough power for me to enjoy the drive, sadly. Hopefully that'll change as well! For the meantime, local AutoX events and the miles and miles of twisty backroads have my thirst quenched.
