I found that mine doesnt work all the time either. But there is a trick to it almost. I think it senses when on an incline. Keep your foot on the brake and press the button. As for the ESP idk what could be causing that to malfunction. They could be related and could not. GL

I didnt actually see that controller... I looked... Do you know what # it is by any chance? I will take a look again tonight, mabye I over looked it.

Holding down the ESP for a period of time does nothing to turn it off... its pretty much like its not functioning at all... I will try the suggested methods for the Auto Hold and let you guys know if it worked. Thanks for all the replies.

On mine, the seatbelt has to be on to either turn ESP off or turn auto hold on.

Also, ESP off light is in the dash, not on the button, just to clarify.

My auto-hold works when either moving or stopped and the light lights up on the button itself. But I've always had my seatbelt on.

Did you have any engine light or anything else that would indicate a problem?

Esp light is on and wouldn't turn off when I press the esp button. Happened a few time and the dealer said cannot replicate the problem. So I just simply drove in with the light on, and they told me its going to be a3 days job and gave me a loaner.

I also know that if you have your autohold on and stopped at light or such. If you turn off ESP it will put your parking brake on.

The controller for the autohold is under the center console I know that but as far as the fuse. Not to sure.

It was a 5amp 2nd from front on drivers side, had burnt out, swapped it today and all worked sweet. My own fault really. My auto hold button broke, I tried to fix it myself, new button installed and still didn't work so eventually I found the fuse!

Could you please tell me which one, more exactly? Inside the car or below the hood?

    Thanks
