Herndon, VA – Volkswagen of America, Inc. announced today it has joined forces with Fender Musical Instruments Corp. to bring the raw emotion of a live music performance to the driving experience. The company’s partnership with Fender will equip select 2012 models with the all-new Fender Premium Audio System.

Doesn't Seem like many replies to this thread. Anybody got comments? I think it sounds like a good idea, more so a strategic alliance to further market and take over more market share and combine two strong firms and putting them together.

Panasonic makes solid stereo equipment, it will be cool to hear these Fender products in the upcoming VWs. I wish it was going to be implemented in the Golf R. Glad we will be getting the Dynaudio option though still.
Want: Audi MQB RS3 Sportback, S-Tronic (DSG) in the USA.
Want: Mk7 Golf Sportwagon with DSG, HID/LED's, TDI and AWD (With potentially an R-Kit)
Want: Mk7 Golf R 4 Door with DSG
Want: More Hatchbacks/Sportbacks/Wagons in the US.

Interested to see how this all pans out.

I had no idea Fender was even involved in the automotive industry.

I heard that fender is just doing the audio tuning and not the actual equipment.
