my only complaint is I think they spent to much effort to make the interiors look good but I think the tracks could be better.
came here to post this, I love that they are already rendered. I never doubted that they would get Porsche in the game. What I want to know is what the hell is Horizon going to be. I hope it will be a mobile based game that syncs with my garage allowing me to build design and dyno. One can only hope. It will probably be an arcade style racer though.
They just announced a 30 car PORSCHE pack to release may 22!!!!! Was alittle late on my post but damn I cannot wait. And as for the complaining goes I'm with elbows on this one. Sure it has it's problems and failing to load a room is annoying but the game IMHO is soo much better than the other options and racing my buddies keeps me happy haha
Already posted this on the previous page but I'll post it again since it is now officially confirmed.
From the sparse info that the trailer teases and the current rumors going around, it looks like Horizon will be an open world racer a la Test Drive Unlimited. Since it is made with Forza assets and with the Turn10 team watching behind the shoulder I'm sure it will be quite good. An open world road driving racer with solid dropin/dropout multiplayer and Forza cars/graphics would be phenomenal. And that is what I think Horizon will be.
I'm actually pretty interested in an open world game with this physics engine. I've pretty much gotten bored with the track selection, so I just drift around Fujimi when I get the urge to play. If I could just go smash around back roads, I'd have a game I'd really enjoy.
I never liked the physics engine in TD:U, but driving around twisty mountain roads in Hawaii was a blast.

I don't understand this "coded into the game to start with" Its like the same as people complaining that there was DLC day one. Games get deadlines, eventually they have to draw the line, and make release. I applaud them for their efforts to continually bring new content to the game. I will gladly for over 20 bucks for 30 Porsches.
Now if you want to complain about it not having a patch yet for the horrible online lobbies and crashes thats another thing.....
Prison rape robbery is what PD's done with GT5 DLC, charging you $2 for single use paint chips, $3 for race suits and helmets, $8 for mostly race mods of cars that already exist in the game and include a premium upgrade from a standard already in the game with their latest DLC.
This is not GT....... nothing in 4 was "ported" from 3
and, you can still enjoy the game you bought, and not purchase DLC. Its not like you cant race online unless you get the porsce pack! They even fixed the black jetta syndrome this time around. By downloading the free car from any pack you can see them instead of it being the default jetta.

Like I said, if the 911 GT1 has a "floating" driver's side wing mirror (you can see daylight between the mirror and the car where they should be connected), my point will be pretty conclusively proven.
No kidding I can still enjoy the game I bought, but when the game I bought included the code and I'm expected to pay even more later on to "unlock" it, then yea I'll get a bit uppity about that.
FYI: You could download the free car and see the other DLC cars in Forza 3 as well.
I guess I was thinking the low resolution cars in gt that were straight ported, not code ported with a new skin that does seem to be the case you made.
In other news, apparently a title update today increases the maximum level from 150 to 999.
http://www.autoblog.com/2012/03/05/t...log/#continuedThat led to title update, which released today. It raises the cap to 999. I bring that up due to the success of the title. I don't know why people are playing twice as much, but I'm really excited they are. This is by far the most successful game we've made so far.
30 cars for 1600...eh. My problem is that with 23 of the cars being the same, I'm less and less interested. I don't want a dozen versions of the boxer, or 911. I doubt I'd even want 30 complete Porsches.
I'd much rather have a bunch of old school Porsches...I'll reserve judgement until they all show up. I do think it would be nice of Turn 10 to maybe offer 5 Porsches free to everyone just for owning the game, since everyone wanted them off the bat.
I also really hope 4-5 of these Porsches aren't the usual GT2 racing models which are identical.
AWESOME! Hopefully they have cash tied to the new level-ups, I'm really missing the Dr level cash right now.
This is one of my fundamental issues with the game.
ALL Porsche GT2s are the same. Just make them ONE car, make the teams simply available liveries. Ditto for the Ferraris. This would save a TON of cash (in-game), and a TON of frustration making/finding liveries, etc.
