i agree, i hope those cars are available regardless of where the game is purchased.

their website also has a some information regarding another VIP game pack that will have more features, which will undoubtedly cost more money, but be available at a later date. same with those five cars they mention that are available for an early run too.

as far as the profile import, does that mean every single car can be drafted over? prize cars only? T10 gift cars only? wondering because i sold a lot of prize cars.

Loving the data import. It makes me less bothered to take the time on new stickers/liveries knowing Ill be able to cross them over. Also I like the insentive to finish FM3 for the DL perks in FM4.

Sounds like everything I would want in FM4 that are not in FM3 have already been discussed. New real tracks would be nice, so would weather and time of day changes, and cheaper cars. I was playing FM3 over the weekend and some of the prices are ridiculous. I have approximately 1.3M in credits, but even with that much most of the upper end vehicles are out of my range by millions.

I think I only sold one to someone who specifically IM'd me about it for like $500K. I didn't want a bunch of them out there at the time.

Ill have to check out the kinect vids when I get home. I cant justify kinect for any of the games I play. I probably already look like a tool to my neighbors, talking to myself through the headset.

+As I've wanted since Forza 2, allow a "type" feature for vinyl decals. Let me choose a font, and type in it, rather than having to place each freaking letter by itself.

As a very seasoned painter in Forza, I would agree with this. Also, more fonts. Please, for the love of god, give us some fonts that are not weird, but just usable. I don't need generic swirly fonts, I need Courier and Times New Roman.

As for sounds, Forza's sounds are at least twice as good as Race Pro, for the most part. FM2 had better changes in sounds than Forza 3 did, however.

Also, don't let these screen shots fool you, T10 has development kits on their XBoxes and exports them directly at higher resolution than you actually see it on your screen. They've done the same thing with the past 2 games and created large stinks on their forum both times.

As for multiplayer, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm sure that T10 is given the "matchmaking" code by their parent, Microsoft, and told to implement it. There will be no public "rooms" I'm sure. Gears, Halo, Forza, etc...they all use matchmaking.

I do hope they can have more people in a race. That would be sweet. Cat and Mouse with 16 people?

Now, tracks? Forza has a large number of tracks, I've never understood the "we need more tracks" thing. There are at least 19 "environments" that I can think of in FM3, which is the same as F1 2010, which I think has the most "tracks" of any game I can think of. I do wish they would add more as DLC throughout the release of the game, but I never have trouble finding one I haven't raced in a while.

Agree, thought that the game has plenty of tracks. Problem with SP is that you didn't use a lot of them because anything that was on Disc 2 couldn't be integrated into the campaign. I really hope that they fix this for the 4th. Just make a HD mandatory!

as excited as i am, it still sucks that this game will be another ~$100 game after their "monthly" dlc plan and all the VIP/premium/special pre-order BS that goes along with it, like Forza 3 had.

I doubt I'm buying DLC this version and debating if I should go normal version or not. Unless there's a car I absolutely need to have, I'm passing on DLC and will repick up the game later on to try out the cars/tracks I missed out on.

exactly, gran turismo 5 is sheer garbage, I need a 360 again. I'm pretty sure GT5 is just so f'd up the only reason they aren't releasing DLC is because they actually arent ABLE to release dlc.

I'm debating this as well. I went out and bought the collector's edition, but it turned out to be pointless since they made the content available to everyone (not that I mind).

It boils down to whether or not you want the bonus content from the day you own the game or 6 months down the road.

And they had better make the retailer pre-order cars available!

they did say five new tracks. didn't catch if that meant five new real tracks or just five new environments. top gear track obviously, IMS from the cover art, and that Alps track that the cars have been showcased on today.

why exactly do you have an issue with preordering though? free stuff just for a $5 deposit...

i doubt i'll get any sort of collectors editiion...namely because the cars always seem to become available later as DLC or they are just special livery versions of other cars

i will buy DLC though as long as there is something worthwhile

i wish they would invest in licensing for some more real-world tracks...i want Spa

never said i had a problem pre-ordering games. i've pre-ordered most games in the past and will continue for games i'm looking forward to.

i just wasn't a fan of the way turn 10 did things (with the UE, for example) in forza 3 with cars not being available for customers who pre-ordered the game, paid for all the dlc, etc.

what do you mean by that? the uproar over the VIP cars becoming available? so you think all cars will be available to everyone? just trying to clarify.

i think for forza 4, i might actually buy a fanatec wheel. definitely not that one though. i'd most likely buy the cross platform one that works for PS3/PC/Xbox, just for the future. i have a G25 that is collecting dust in my room, and i've only used it a handful of times. amazon has a G25 new for $700 and used for $450. definitely won't be selling mine for that much.

I was talking about the uproar from FM3 and the content being available when it was sold as being limited to the early birds. I didnt get pre-order or go VIP for FM3 and still was able to get ahold of most of the cars offered.( even the stig pack) Im glad I didnt get the VIP thinking Id have rare cars. The VIP guys really felt cheated. I have a feeling they might actually keep them limited to the first run of the game this time. On the other hand it would be hard to show off that car if other racers didnt have that car available so they get the black jetta on screen instead of the Tesla. Who am I kidding...they will throw it into a pack 3 months down the line.
