We need to stop buying these for a few weeks so they go back down in price!!
My buddy placed a order and got them within the week for 899.99.
I guess when i purchased them for 599.99 he did have the stock but just didnt want to let them go. Thats pretty shady!! My boy ordered em 4 days later and all of sudden they were back in stock..lol...whoever is running that place is a douche bag. I messaged him the next day after my buddy got his tracking info. He responded with that he still didnt have any in stock and it would be about 6 weeks.
I sent him a email saying thats funny since my friend just received his coils and never got a reply.

The coils may be great but thats really bad business. If the auction was on ebay and i purchased them i should have received my order. Not tell me they are not in stock because he wants more money...Shady Shady Shady

Yeah thats messed up. I pmed him and told him to lower the price back down to 550 and if he did me and a lot of friends would buy them. Within hours he lowered the price and I scooped them for 600 shipped to my door cant beat that

Just installed these! Can someone explain how to adjust them? I know loosening the bottom spindle and screwing the coils into themselves adjusts the height.. But after doing the same amount of rotations on either side and measuring I still seem to have different heights in the front... the two top spindles are for pre-load but can they also affect the height as well? I figure i'm probably just rookin' out in some way...

You're adjusting the height correctly. Now all you have to do is adjust them individually so your car sits even. At least that's what I did.

I'm just getting confused because the ground to the top of the fender is the same height on both sides but there is a noticeable gap between the tire and fender on each of the sides.. I'm parked on flat level ground..

    Is your alignment in spec?

I have not gotten the car aligned yet because I want to set the car at equal heights, other wise when I adjust it again the geometry will be off and I will have to re-aligned

Pictures would really help the diagnosis, could be camber? the top of the wheel sits in towards the car making gap from fender to wheel?

I cant really tell, but is the gap from tire-fender different on both sides? thats the problem correct?

Thanks for your help guys! I think the issue was the alignment, because I adjusted the coils for awhile and got them as close as I possibly could to even heights... then went and got the car aligned and it looks way better now! Weird.

FYI Les Schwab alignment was only 50 bucks..not too bad compared to other places!

Alright guys for anybody that is interested in the CX Racing coil overs, i have exchanged a few emails back and forth with the company regarding the price increase. They have agreed to "adjust the price" back down. They did not specify exactly that the price would return to 599 shipped, but i was constantly emphasizing that price, so I am sure they will bring it back down to there.

I received an email tuesday morning saying that it will be adjusted 3 days from then. That brings us to either tomorrow or friday depending how they are counting. Keep a lookout for the decrease, and buy the coils while they're discounted!

Moving the top collars adjusts the pre-load on the springs. To adjust the height you loosen the bottom collar and move the mounting bracket up and down. Make sense?

That bottom collar is adjustable when mounted? For some reason I'm having a hard time figuring this out and it's usually something I have no problem with.

Anyone got a video of adjusting these?

And the dampening is adjustable from the top of the strut mounts?

I dont have a video of adjusting these but it is very easy. You loosen the bottom collar and spin the body of the shock into the base. That is how you lower it. Then when you are done you tighten that collar again. As for adjusting the dampening, In your kit there should be the round knobs with a + and - on them. You take those and insert them into the top of the shock. When you turn them you should feel a "click" and that will let you know that you are adjusting the dampening. I would start off at 16 clicks, which is the center and adjust from there.

Little piece of info for the vr guys running drift setup

If you have the spring adjustment. (top collars) all the way up in front you WILL bounce the teeth out of your head. Spin the top two collars down roughly 2 inches and it will be smooth. Then just adjust height based on spinning shock inside the body. I have two inches of thread left in front and rear and im tucking on factory spec 15's.

Good info here to note when i install mine on the vr. Do you happen to have any pictures of how it sits currently? That would be helpful. Also, how much have you spun down the body of the coil into the lower body? I see on those asian instructions, that i believe you shouldn't lower it any more than that little peephole on the lower body. Sorry if thats unclear

You can't raise it above the peephole. You can lower it as low as you want.

How harsh is the ride on these? I like the variable adjustablility, but the spring rate just looks crazy stiff and I don't see any helpers.

Im looking for something with a semi stiff ride but not harsh and definitely not bouncy.

you'll be fine, 470f/380r isnt that bad. its more within the shock/damper unit that will affect your bounce and ride quality. and from the sounds of it, if they are a ksport clone you're alright.

I retract the ksport comparison, i did not realize that ksports are/were so soft. damn. i want these coils tho, and i didnt realize the racing/drift was so stiff.

I'd buy these in a heartbeat if someone picked up my BNIB Rokkors i've had for almost a year.

598 shipped on ebay for these cxracings btw.

I can tell you for sure that it's definitely not a bouncy ride, even in an ABA. It's a stiff ride but I don't think it's harsh. As always that's a personal opinion, and I haven't messed with the dampers since I received them (don't know how). So in my case I might even be able to improve the ride quality more once I start playing around with the dampers.

I went from worn OEM suspension, with one of the rear struts blown, to these and I love them.

Are the race/drift spring rates what should be used in a vr? I don't want a rough ride but i dont want a soft or bouncy ride. I saw another thread that someone was calling the race/drift setup the VR spring rates, Should the lower spring rate version not be used on a vr?

There's no particular problem in using the lower/regular spring rates.
Some people just like a stiffer/firmer ride.
my boy Joe has the race/drift ones.

dude, get them. you will not be disappointed.

Im getting very close on pulling the trigger man. Just trying to do all my research. You know how it is. And still would love to feel the ride before dropping the money.
