To continue on why bag over coils is pointless... The website list the kit at 375 pounds. That is $585.56. Right now Bag Riders is selling Airlift front struts for $575.

thats kind of the point, if this thread wasn't here you'd see all those questions as new threads.

So after reading 30pgs of thread and searching within the thread for TDI (golf) I have a few questions,

Somebody said TDI axles don't bind when lowered
-Is this true? and why so? or at what point will they bind?
-will i need to frame notch the TDI as well?

Also offset of 35et was said to work but some people said their coils hit the rim still
-I am gunna be running 35et 18x8 Aristos will I need spacers at all? what size if yes?

Sorry If they have been answered I tried my best to search within the thread and read it all but couldn't handle 30+ more pages of talking about how bumpy they are or are not

all axles bind, the height at which they bind is car dependent.
you will need a frame notch if you go low enough
aristos are 18x7.5 with a sotck et of 38

Oh gotcha any idea what FTG the TDI golf axles will bind at?

And they are Aristos Reps made by the same Factory as Aristos sold by PowerwheelsPro they are et35 and 18x8 so will I need spacers?

Also is the swaybar an issue with the TDI golf as well?

Sorry I just read some people were saying the TDI was a little different and idk to what extent

Binding is different for every car, could have 2 of the sane exact model cars and there can be a difference of over an inch at what height they bind. And yes you'll need spacers.

You will be able to get plenty low before you have to worry about your axle.

And you can try without spacers, might get lucky and not need them but in sure it would be wise to get some in the long run

    Great thanks appreciate it man.

Yeah Eventually I would run spacers to make it flush anyways but want to order coils soon and didn't know if spacers were necessary first or could wait till a week or 2 after

    ET 35 with OEM wheels.

    Width affects offset.
    7" wide wheel ET 35 ≠ 10" wide wheel ET 35

taking out the helpers seemed to do good for my rokkor/og raceland fronts, i also got rid of the bump stop in there.

It also removes the wasted space held by the helper. So i feel like you'll get more stiffer travel, thus being more effective and less bouncy.

can someone tell me their rear FTG measurement when the rears are cranked all the way up. coz right now im running OG racelands for my rears and its spun all the way down with the perches still in. i wanted to go just a tad lower and when i tried to take the rear perches out the fender sits on the tires already. so i was thinking of getting ultimo rears coz i heard they go lower than the OG's but i heard that its pretty low even though its cranked all the way up. here are a couple of pics of how my rears sit with the OG racelands....

....here is another one with a better view of the offset/poke

im at 23 3/4 driver side and 23 1/2 on passenger.

i have the perch in, both collars and the plastic ring. everything spun down all the way though. if i wanted to go lower the next step is taking out one of the collars, which would be another 1/4. if i took everything out i could get sub 23 easy.

if you want to gain another 1/8 or so you can remove the top rubber mounts that sit between the spring car car body.

yea the ride seemed a lot better, less bouncy. same thing for when i installed my ultimo rears.

nope i did it for most of last year. i was told to spray some lithium grease on the bump where the spring sits, maybe thats why it didn't make noise.

I bought mine from .Ant when he went air.

I called raceland like every week and tried to get a set, they sell just the rears occasionally but only if they overstock or have a rear set laying around. They wont split up sets just to sell rears.

You going to spring fling btw?

    quick question.
my friend just bought these for his 04 gli. They arrive monday and he currently is running miro 279 18x8 +35 in the front and 18x9 +38 in the rear. The front should clear but were going to need at least a 5mm spacer for the rear if my measurements are correct from searching. He is also running a 225/45/18 tire all around if that helps.
This is his DD so i want to make sure we are not going to have clearance issues.
    hope you guys can help!

My car is a 2.8l vr6 24 valve so she's heavy front end but still surprised with the quality of the coils. Yes it's a little bouncy on some bumps but other then that good buy imo.
