I love all cars, I just happen to own a few pieces of german crap at the moment.

I cant find any pics of it but I think it was in Road and track. 1980 Mustang with a 280 Mercedes front end and I think think it had the Mercedes turbo diesel in it.

the qx56 frontend looks alot better on the titan, already posted but this is much better.[/QUOTE]
That does look good, get some QX rims and that would really round out the look.

I guess as long as you made sure you had the same rolling diameter on the front and rear tires?Isn't it possible to damage your diffs otherwise? I can't really recall seeing any staggered Subarus that hadn't been converted to RWD.
I know most manufacturers say to always use the same size wheels and tires on all 4 corners.

I wanted to post one of these but I forgot the company that did them. Dream Factory Blow.

I wish they had a front end conversion for the Cube. I don't think I saw any vehicles on the site that are actually for sale in the US.
Actually, after looking at the Cube again I don't think it could pull it off. The rear end has the round protrusion. I think part of the reason it works on those Suzukis are because the rear ends are squared off.

No, I know. But a wider tire with same aspect ratio as a thinner tire will have a larger rolling diameter and circumference.
Using this calculator: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
Size: Diameter/Circumference
235/40-18: 25.4/79.8
245/40-18: 25.7/80.8
Now, if you went instead with a 245/35-18 in the rear you have 24.8/77.8.
I don't know what the acceptable threshold is, but the difference may put unnecessary strain on the diffs especially with a Subaru that has a 50/50 front/rear power split.
Also, add in the fact that the fronts and rears won't wear evenly which could exacerbate the problem and you wouldn't be able to rotate the tires regularly which you would normally do with an AWD car to address uneven wear.

front end conversions give me flashbacks to 1999
i kinda like the USDM integra bumper on the EG and Del Sol (when the panels actually line up though)... moreso the del sol.

Wish I could find the pictures, but I used to have a Mk1 Jetta with a Mk1 cabrio round headlight nose conversion. Looked really good.
Some other interesting nosejobs, these are all on El Caminos:

I love cars, but the problem is they are like schroedinger's hobby. They're always in a quantum superstate of being both awesome and a huge waste of time and money... until observation momentarily forces them into one state or another.

^^
Seeing those reminds me. I've seen an old guy around town driving an El Camino with a Third Gen Camaro Front and the Corvette light-style rear bumper. He's got some badges that say 'El Camaro' . I'll try to snap some pics next time I see it.![]()

This trucks' not done yet, this is an older '01 Excursion with the newer Superduty front end on it. I think it looks pretty tough considering the size and lines of those trucks anyways.

I know that. But it's based on the Toyota iQ which makes it a swap.
