A dumb question for you -- is that VWvortex.com sticker white? If yes, I'm assuming you got it from the merchandise site...but...I see only silver and blue. What gives?

I suppose you could have painted it...I'm just trying to figure out if I'm missing something here.

thank you sir. sills aren't on yet...hopefully tomorrow, going to peel the GTI ones off too while I'm at it. the skid plate was around $400...the mount for the driver side hits the SAP though. I have a new bracket to try and hopefully it clears, if not I'll have to do a little cutting so the pump can be re-mounted. right now it's zip tied to the skid plate support because it's been too cold in nj to get under the car for such a small thing.

Thanks. the R-Line sills were $160 and the rack was $230. I got the rack from Paul@KefferVW ....it lists for over $300.

I got the foil from 1stvwparts before I even got the car. they list for $80 per side. They're pretty durable and have definitely offered protection. I'm ripping them off when the R-Line ones go on and I happen to have a spare set of the GTI stuff for sale if you're interested. Send me a PM.

The R-Line sills I got from ECS for $160, they'll go on when it's not so cold.

The short shifter is great, the stock shift feel is nice but a little long so the linkage shortens that up.

I was talking to JR from RSW, and it sounded like we could just buy the black housing...not the actual HIDs. Was hoping that would be a cheaper option.

Thanks for the replies guys. The headlights are just the housings. I'll have to swap all the bulbs and ballasts from the stock xenons. They were about $550 per side.

No problem. ECS had one set in stock so I got them there and had them in a couple days. German eBay, OEMplus and TMTuning will have them too.

I was going to install them last weekend but with the snow I had to put it on hold. Hopefully I'll get them on soon.

you can always joey mod them yourself.

True. I thought about doing that as well but didn't want to take the chance of messing up the lights. The R lights are perfect though so I'm glad I bought them rather than Joey modding. Def a much cheaper option though.

good thing is you can resell them to guys w/ golfs that want them to do xenon upgrades

I might do this or save the stock ones to throw back on when the golf r comes so I can put the black headlights on that.

no I think they only come on cars equipped with 19" wheels.
