Please remember to use E-mail for talking with Organizers. We all use Gmail and that makes it so much easier to keep track of stuff.......ie.... if you don't use e-mails we Most likely will lose the info....Vortex is better after the changes, but PM is crap to keep track of info when it comes from 100 peeps.

I'm pretty certain all of our E-mails are in our profiles.

DEADLINE for lodging guaranteed rates is February 11, 2011. After that you may not get lodging at Fontana and even worse may pay much more with the rate changes Fontana has gone through in the last 8 months. We fortunate our group had locked in rates back in July Even luckier the lady I locked those in with is now now longer there

      Apparel.....

Quickly tell what preferences might be there above T-shirts and Hoodies.

We have several sources of varying quality. That said, we cannot make everything and still fund the event. Overall the idea is that we can sell some high quality T-shirts (looking for similiar quality to DubKorps products) and some high quality Hoodies. Anything from Mugs to keychains is possible.....but 4 keychains in the mix will not fund much That is not to say Keychains or mugs are available, but the ideas should be clear as to our abilites.

All purchased apparel will be deliverd to the lodge for delivery at the event. This is a move to save money and therefore help fund the event.

We will sell apparel to anyone, but if they do not come to the event then we will simply make 1 mass shipping to those PLUS shipping after the Event. It would be frugal to buy all you want and get it at the event. We realize that some will not make the event but still like to rock the apparel. Even so we still need funding which is basically shipping costs. 1 mass shipment to the lodge is good funding for the event

Be warned that this will be 2 shipments. 1 to the event......and several weeks after the event 1 more shipment to take care of those not attending or those that want more.

one thing to note, def need to have more medium shirts, the large and xl and xxl sizes look like i'm wearing a night gown LOL
and maybe not white. black shirt with red lettering? or blue shirt with white/orange lettering?

not bashing, just some pointers, i know you guys def put a hefty amount of time and work into the event, so it is always appreciated.

That's the beauty of the MKV.

Sure you don't have as much control, per se, but the DSG is beautiful for city driving and long commutes. It's also nice for keeping both hands on the wheel while ripping the Dragon. Paddles, ftw.

With regard to that - as Chris (Harepower) mentioned above, we are still working on the details, but the idea is that in order to a) fund the event and b) not have the apparel be a billboard of logos, we are planning to do a pre-sale, so you will be able to order your size and ensure that you get what you want and how many...

It got crazy last year, and I screwed the pooch on sizing - there are much more people my size than I expected in this crew

So... the deal is that we have expenses to have the GTG and bonfire and such, so we will mark the apparel up slightly to fund the event itself.

NOTE!!! WE ARE NOT IN THIS TO PROFIT! We're in it for the fun, and God knows it is a blast... I'll be buying one just like anyone else who wishes to do so. I do, however encourage everyone to participate, as it allows us to make things better (raffle, bonfire, hood-pop...). Any and ALL funds that come from this apparel will simply fund the event itself, and if there is anything left-over, we will simply roll that into an account to have a head start for WiTW.12

The deal is that it simply costs money to get the ball field, stickers, goodies... It sucks to have to sell stuff at all (think about the fact that that the majority of other groups that go down for events like this, like the S2000's, the Mini's - they all have a price of admission - generally in the $200 range, we do not want to go anywhere near something like that), but IMO, this allows us to provide a much higher quality product as a keepsake and it allows us to be much more accurate and ensure that everyone gets what they want. The design will obviously be shown before orders are taken, but I have a feeling that that side will not be done here.

We all know that we have rules to follow on the Vortex, and we do not wish to break those - no matter how awesome this trip is

And for the record - my reservation is made
