      That is so amazing.

I used to have something similar back when I had my 1:1 Golf, about 5 years ago... I had Votex lights too, they rock

Sadly, don't own either of these anymore.

      My newest r/c car:

Tamiya FF-01 wiht a rare Opel Astra shell (which is pretty much only held together by duct tape from the inside).

Just started taking it apart for a rebuild.

Looks awesome. Another shot of the two together the night before going to h20i

but one that I love is this one from h20i this year.

My RC did its best to stand in for my real car as the real one was still not ready entirely for the trip.

I have one, but I get bored really quick driving in a bunch of circles. I want to build a trailer for it and tow it with my SCX-10 just for kicks.

Mines a little large to pull around behind the sc10...

Man, that brings back some great memories! I used to have a Grasshopper and a Hornet long before upgrading to an RC10. I have some of my old R/C stuff in storage...I might just have to go dust it off and post some photos one of these days

Does anyone make a good Wrangler TJ body? Preferably a hard body?

Was the Tamiya Lunchbox available in lime green? Did the rear doors open to access a 2WD/4WD switch? I had a r/c van back in the day and it looked like the Lunchbox, but I SWEAR it was green. I haven't been able to find so much as a picture of it, but I'd love to acquire one.

^^ Try looking for New Bright rcs... cheap toys R' us grade RC... so ~$45 for the complete RTR kit. pull the body, get some fire crackers and you have a fun afternoon and a new body.

I'm sure if you go on the crawler forums you'll find something.

I cut kind of close to the line initially with scissors then i use a dremel with a sanding wheel and smooth right up to the line and anywhere else where I rough cut

Do you guys think that $266 for this https://www.tamiyausa.com/product/it...oduct-id=58410 model is a fair price?

That's Tamiya's MSRP. It's most likely much cheaper through another vendor by about $60

The only problem.... Tamiya TT-01E = very very basic 12y old chassi

if you want buy this chassi for play in you driveway or at de parking lot is probably the best choice

but if you want racing at your local track in begginer class you must buy anothe type of chassi like

      Spec r sport chassi - sakura zero s - Tamiya TA-06 - AE TC6.1... etc

if you want buy a TT-01E i suggest the Golf MK6 kit 50% off at rcmart

      ^^

      Thanks guys.

This RC will only sit on the shelf so I don't need better chassis.

Last night I found this one for $140 http://www.activepowersports.com/tam...t01e-tam58410/ . Is this site legit or I should stay away from? I will also go to my local hobby shop and see what the have.

Last question how much should I expect to spend on Radio: 2-Channel with servo(s),
Battery: 6-cell flat with standard Tamiya connector, Charger: AC/DC timed or peak for 6-cell battery

Thanks a lot guys for your help.

Never heard of that site but looks like they have real stuff there. Got a good mobile site. You probably won't spend more than $200-250 for the rest of the stuff.

$100-120 for a 2-3 channel 2.4ghz Futaba 3PL TX/RX. $20 for a DTX Onyx NIMH battery. $50 for a DTX Onyx 210 charger. $15 for a Futaba S3004 steering servo. That's just some basic stuff. Of course you could go all out with all that stuff and spend quite a bit

      Thanks

I'm gonna order this one http://www.activepowersports.com/tam...port-tam46603/ Basically the same at the other one,but RTR with shipping and tax total price would be $160.

Nice. You'll miss out on the opportunity to build it up as an RTR though. Unless you don't care for that
