there's just so much appeal in vintage tamiya. i built a lunch box a while back and gave it to my nephew after a few runs. he's bashing with the lexan body i painted up for him and i kept the stock shell. i might pop it on my savage XS since it's the same scale.

Build your car for yourself, not what an internet forum tells you.

It should be, it had only been run once when that picture was taken
It is a re-release that I had just finished building. I had one back in 1985, and when they re-released them, I absolutely had to get one. My original one vanished long, long ago. Honestly, my favorite part of this was the build. *Warning, sappy story incoming* When I was a kid, the first one I got was a Christmas present that my dad and I built together. I bought this one a year after he died, largely for that nostalgia. Bittersweet.

As for this particular car, I didn't build this one perfectly. Partly because it had been so long since I'd built a Tamiya car, and partly because I plan to run this one and it will take some abuse. I plan on buying another Frog and doing a pristine build with that one with no plans of running it. Maybe stupid, but I want the clean relic

HPI Savage Flux HP converted to 1/5 scale.

2k worth of parts including extra motor and ESC = ZERO downtime.

Beefed up axles, not yet installed.

    Dirty

Note. Don't use a 17 lb 1/5 scale on the street. This was before I had the beadlocks and the foams wrapped = out of control vehicle @ 40mph > SHIN DAMAGE. LOL

I just got this little toy yesterday. It's Sprint 2 Sport with GTR 35 body. Can someone recommend a good website with drift wheels and tires? I'm trying to get different wheels with more offset. Something like the guy couple post's above me with BMW E30 body.

Maybe that is due to excessive drug use, which can lead to prostitution and homelessness.

Don't drive a Corolla or you might end up a homeless prostitute.

Then I turned it into a Slash

Now it's a mix of both.

Ive never been into hardcore RC, perhaps because i always felt it could be an expensive hobby so i settled for RTR type off the shelf RCs, lame i know. However, I have started a customization/mod on a new 'toy' that was given to me from the holidays.... Its not a car

Yesterday UPS driver left this at my porch. You're looking at HPI Sprint 2 Flux with Porsche body. I had to order from UK since they were never for sale in NA.
