Also I just sent an email to Diesel Geek, so we'll see what they say about this group buy if they go for it.
I would call them first see if they're cool with the idea. Tell them I got mine and now you all want one too

I was thinking that, but idk I felt like emailing for some reason. Maybe it's b/c at work we rely on them as a "paper trail" so that if someone says something we can always go back and have proof. Idk it just might be my OCD.

Can anyone recommend a place to buy a puff can of VW's BMP? I'd like to spray the gas filler door & the rear hatch spoiler so that it somewhat matches the rest of the paint.

It won't match, BMP fades with time, more so on plastic pieces than metal. Your plastic pieces will look new but the rest of the car will look more purple-ish (that's what BMP does I know from first hand experience) but if you want get it from www.paintscratch.com they have high quality paint.

Noted, maybe I'll head out as long as there a good turn out usually.

Also for those that were interested in the Diesel Geek Shifter: Long story short they are not willing to budge on price and don't wish to do a group buy. They did say that they can ship all the units in one box to save a little bit on shipping but as far as discounting the product that's a no go. So if anyone is still interested let me know and we can work on getting them ordered, if not then I'll just go ahead and place my order. Just to show the savings: If you were to order one yourself it would be $195 + 9.96 for the cheapest shipping method so a total of $204.96. If everyone that I know has confirmed they wanted one which is a total of 6 people then it would be $195 per unit (195*6=1170) + 12.96 for shipping. When divided by the 6 people it comes to $197.16. So I will let you guys decide. Now if we can get more orders then we would could get it for less as the shipping really doesn't increase by much, but it would require quite a bit to be ordered. Anyway those of who interested let me know.

I did USPS Priority Mail shipping, it was cheaper and quicker.

Well that's lame. You'll probably end up spending the money saved on gas going to pick them up from each other.

Not worried about that. It wont be as noticeable as the whitish color that's there now.

I went to pick up the exhaust yesterday afternoon from the Greyhound terminal in Delray. What an odd place. Drive by & you'd never know what it is. It's a rectangular building with a small frontal area. There's a roll up door & a fire door, a greyhound sign hacked up to fit between the two, & no window. The inside desk & waiting area felt like the size of a closet. There were two parking spaces for cars, & no area to park one bus. They must park in the street out front with the hazards on. It must have been a small service business at one time with storage.

I'm missing the sleeve with the 2 clamps on it that connects the cat to the exhaust.

The exhaust that's on there uses a different & incompatible clamping method.

    DieselGeek UPDATE:

I would like to place the order for the short throw this week so that I can get it before I go on vacation. I just need to know who for sure wants on so far it's Cheyne and myself. I haven't heard from Warri and Qualallstar bailed. Idk if Rey (dubkultur) is still interested Garey, i don;t have his vortex s/n.

Yep. The white one was parted. Cheaping out and not buying tires is NEVER worth it. I'm happier with my E30. It feels good to not be making car payments.

One day, Ill get another E36 M3. They are such awesome cars.

W/e you know I wanna go but baby can't be in the car for that long and I won't be able to enjoy the road the way I want to. Doesn't look like I can go next year either b/c it's too close to the wedding. So I'm gonna have to go to SoWo and/or Fixx this year.

The exhaust clamp sleeve should be here on Thursday, along with some other miscellaneous small parts I put off ordering until I really needed something.
